No wonder Fran got blinded by riches. Can't really blame her. She's just a teenager girl. Anyone would prefer riches to poor anytime. His daughter is just being realistic.
Bill has come to talk to him because Fran left home without notice few days ago.
Fran told him David took her to Las Vegas for one day vacation. She doesn't tell him she got invited by a mob king.
Bill thought he has to make a clear boundaries to David. Fran is still too young to spend days with him. She must stay at home during the nights. School is important to her. She still has a bright future ahead of her.
