                                                 CHAPTER 13 BACK TO "NORMAL"

I sigh as I wake up and stretch. I had promised myself the day before that I would never cut my hair again. Not just for the bond a girl has with their hair, but for the fear of it becoming more frizzy than it has already become. I quickly changed, but I didn't put on my usual V neck shirt, I put on a turtle neck and a black belt around my waist, turning to the boy shoes I had stored under my bed.

I walked out of my room and ruffled Adela's hair while I sat down and sipped a cup of coffee. "Good to see sleeping beauty is finally up." I sighed but grinned, I missed her so much while I was being held captive. "Good to see you to."

I silently watched her do her chores, everything was as it was supposed to be. My friends had come and I told them about everything, in incredible detail, but left out the part about Halt revealing himself as my father. I think he wants it a secret.

But one of the things I said to Adela, was pretty personal; "If I ever catch Halt or Pauline cheating on each other, I would never forgive them." Which I meant with all my heart. It was true. I finally found out who my parents were, which I was extremely happy for, but scared to see if they will cheat on each other. I don't care if I come out mean or not, I won't tolerate it no matter what. Adela told me not to worry about it so I cleared my mind and went out riding on sky in the forest.

Everything was prefect again, few clouds in the sky, and the bright sun back in the sky. I didn't get to see the sun, it was so gloomy in Seth's mountains. I was grateful to see the sun again.

I couldn't help but think if the world could... well stay this way. I shook the negative thought away and focused on the beauty of the nature surrounding me. Why did I get an apprentice, I can stay out in the woods all day with no care in the world then return to my cabin. But I did enjoy having an apprentice, watching her make silly mistakes, bringing my hopes up, having someone to talk to about things I can't with others.

I gave a detailed report to the baron and the battle master, which they were quite shocked at the thought of my apprentice saving me. But considering Crowley taught her a bit, I wasn't surprised. I got back in shape quicker than I thought I would, it surprised not just me but Adela the baron, the battle master and my friends!

I still just can't believe it. I'm free! I started to head back, it was a wonderful day and I hated to waste it, but I needed to check on Adela. She needed some help with her knife throwing, which I helped her with. But I felt at home, at peace. But I knew it was going to be broken soon.
