Evelyn, that woman...

She taught Tobias to sing.

I've been waiting for him to come back from the bathroom. But apparently, it's like he's taking a shower in the sink or something. Which qualifies as forever.

I can't wait for him.

I need to go anyway.

I tell the others bye, then slip out of Dauntless Karaoke.

I walk to my apartment, pulling my black cardigan tighter around myself. The age gap between Tobias and I are three right now.

While he's nineteen now, I'm still sixteen.

Almost seventeen.

Almost.

One month, about.

I race up the steps and into my room, 6B.

After I take off my black strappy sandals, I throw my cardigan on the couch, take off my dress, and throw on Tobias's black t-shirt.

Dress. Courtesy of Christina.

I make a nest in my black covers, curl up, and rest my head on the pillow.

As I'm about to close my eyes, there's a knock on the door.

I groan. Just when I comfy, someone HAS to knock.

"Who is it?" I groggily yell.

"Four."

"You have a key."

Sure enough, the door opens, and Tobias, excited and happy, comes into my bedroom.

"You left me at Dauntless Karaoke," I complain as he untangles the blankets away from me.

He lays down next to me, putting his arms around my waist. I pull the blankets over the two of us.

"Trissy?"

He's the only one I let call me that.

"Mmm?"

"I got offered a record deal."

With that, I sit up quickly.

~

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity, Tobias, take it!"

I don't want him to miss something like this just because of me.

"If I go, come with me!" Tobias's blue eyes are cold, staring into my grey-blue ones. "Please."

I want to. But I can't.

"Tobias, I can't."

"Why?" he whines, keeping his eyes directed at me. "Once I get you back, I'm losing you again?"

"I'll come visit," I absentmindedly say.

I guess I could go to the Bureau and catch a ride on the jet.

I've been offered a job. George is now the leader of the Bureau, and he's made me the co-leader. I'm going to be sending information from inside the city walls, using a high tech earpiece.

"Should I call Amar back and say yes?"

"It'll be good for you to get out of the city walls for awhile," I tell him.

I guess that works, because he excuses himself, picks up the card from the night table, and makes the call.

I think it's amazing he got offered this deal.

But the only problem?

Amar is in New York now.

Ooooo conflict!

Thank you for reading, I hope to update soon!
