The spacing is weird. I'm sorry for these incredibly slow updates, and this chapter pretty much sucks. I just really want to get this book wrapped up, because writing fanfictions aren't satisfying me anymore...
But enjoy...
"Can I take you out tonight?" I asked slowly, glancing at Tris. I knew it was rather stupid of me to ask, for we had just came together after years, just a few days ago.
God, I didn't even know if she was taken, after this long. A girl like her would be snatched up, quickly.
"Sure," she told me, quietly.
I was flabbergasted. She had said yes without a hesitation, and that meant everything to me.
I couldn't help but smile. "I'll see you at seven."
~
It's never felt so awkward between me and her, especially here.
While I was shaking, at the fifty foot drop in front of me, she was hardly smiling, glancing down at the ground with ease.
Tris had matured quickly, far to quick for her own good. I couldn't stand to know that I had been that reason, for ever knocking her up with Tobiah.
"Stop shaking, you'll be fine," Tris promised me, as she continued to climb the Ferris wheel.
I felt stupid, I was the one who asked her out on a date, yet she was the one who was comforting me.
God, I am such a girl. They should consider calling me Five now, because of all my fears, rushing back at me.
"We're almost there," she told me, and that's when I felt like soaring. I climbed like wildfire to the top of the Ferris wheel, breathing out like I had just ran the marathon.
I was ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
She was smiling as she crawled in after me, and her eyes widened at my work.
A blanket was on the floor of one of the chairs of the Ferris wheel, and I had set up a picnic.
I should be crowned the king of romance.
Another part of me told me that I was just being a cheap date, not taking her out anywhere, but I felt like this was necessary.
To bring us back to what we were before, right?
"I'll say," she said, with a smile. "That you were scared with adrenaline when you scrambled up that thing."
"Something like that," I mused, looking over to her with a smirk. "I can't help if I'm afraid of heights, but I climbed faster than Thrill-Seeking Tris."
She smiled at me, and I almost broke, staring at her with a wide eyed murderer look on my face.
I had thought that smile was long gone, replaced by the tired smile that Tobiah and my absence had given her.
There's a start to everything, Tobias.
Please check out my other books.
Um. Hope you liked this, even though it was incredibly short and it sucked. I can't write fanfiction well, because I can't really relate to the emotions.
Meh. If I edit this, okay.
Toodles.
Until next time, which I reckon will be in a very long time.
