Sorry for not posting much! My wifi wasn't working. So when I came back, I came back to 1k views on Far From You! OMG I'M FREAKING OUT THANK YOU ALL!

This is a short chapter, but it has lots of FourTris feels!

Enjoy! 💕

"You can, count on me, like one, two, three, and I'll be there," I sing quietly, strumming the guitar. "Cause that's what I'm supposed to do, oh, yeah."

[song: Count On Me (I changed 'friends' to 'I'm') by Bruno Mars]

Tris comes in from the door, sitting in a chair I purposely set there.

She smiles as I sing, swaying slightly.

When I finish, she stands up and claps.

"Thank you, Tobias, thank you for everything."

I pause suddenly. "I don't think I want to go to New York."

"Why?" she asks gently, sitting down in my lap as I take her chair.

"I can't stand the thought of you being here alone."

She gives a small laugh. Fake, I can tell. "I've got Christina and the rest of the gang."

"But no me."

"That's okay," she whispers. "I'll be waiting."

"But..."

"FaceTime and text me. And you better visit," she pokes my chest, then looks into my sorrow filled eyes. "I'll be waiting. The sound of your voice will help me."

"But... You'll be boyfriend-less."

"That's okay. I can say you're mine."

"But long distance relationship..."

"Tobias, shut up," she manages to say that unkind phrase very nicely. "I'll be waiting. And if you really need to, we can break up."

Tears are slipping down my face.

Why am I crying so much recently? One sob brings a lot more.

"But..."

"Tobias," her eyes are gentle.

"But... Long distance..."

I'm coughing out now.

This is so not how I expected the night to go.

"I love you, Tobias." Her eyes connect with mine, as she embraces me. She stands on her tip-toes as she fits her lips to mine. "Goodbye."

Goodbye. Are we breaking up?

She stands up to leave, not looking back.

I stand up and run after her. "Tris! Come back!"

She enters the elevator, and before I can catch up, the glass doors close, leaving me there.

Crying.

I hate crying.

Soon days pass by a blur, and soon Amar comes back for me.

We're going to New York.

My life is changing.

As I board the plane, luggage in hand, I don't look back.

"Hello new life. Goodbye old life," I whisper from my first class seat by the window.

I watch as we lift into the air, making Chicago small. Making my old life disappear from sight.

But all I can think about is Tris.

"She doesn't want you anymore, Tobias," is all that's running through my head when I produce a memory of her.

I set the Delta airline first class bed down, curling up.

When I fall asleep, I have a dream.

Not just any dream.

A dream of Tris.

She doesn't want me anymore. Me, Tobias.

FourTris soon, no worries! Please don't hesitate to give me any constructive criticism! I try to reply to all comments.

QOTC: If you were to kill Eric, would you rather kill him by shooting him with a gun, or throwing a knife at him?

Me: I think I'll try the gun, thank you very much 😋😆
