We had to leave Japan, that was no surprise. My family-no, the Hi no ōkami Clan, didn't find any entrances ways that lead to the gathering room. So this branch of the order was save to keep operating, but everyone who was currently lived here had to be relocated. I felt pretty bad about that, some people had been safe here for years.
Yukino told me that she managed to grab Sabah and haul her ass to her house. She got Aliyya and Rashida, and Yarah out safely.
We meet up with them in the gathering room, Rashida and Yarah were joined at the hip the rest of the night. Aliyya, Sabah, and Rashida were relocated to Canada-it was hard for the Order to pick a place that would be safe for them, because apparently assholes around the world decided to discriminate against Muslims. Jerks. Rashida and Yarah protested at first, until Aliyya gave us their new address so we could make contact once we got settled.
They left that night, and I was sad to see them go. They had become close family friends and I was going to miss them.
We were told to go to Rio, Brazil again-before we got our 'permeant' relocation. They told us nothing about why we had to go, so both Yukino and I were confused as hell. I would never understand how the Order decided to do it's shit, it seems simpler to just tell us straight out.
On the plane ride, we all passed out, slept for a whole freaking day. No shit all three of us passed out for the whole 24 hours it took to get to Brazil. Even Yarah didn't stay up for more than an hour.
When the plane finally landed, and we were rudely awaken, we got driven go the building that the Order was using. I remembered when Yukino and I had taken turns carrying Yarah, while we were running around Rio as we tired to find the building. We passed the convenience store I robbed, I smiled at the memory of having 'lunch' outside of the store with Yukino and Yarah.
I took Yukino's hand, when I looked at her, she was looking out of the window with her face red. She gently squeezed my hand, and I smiled. We said nothing, only Yarah's curious gasps filled the car, but this time-the silence was nice. It was comfortable. This was the kind of silence I could live with.
We entered the alleyway, Yukino and I carried our emergency suitcases and were welcomed by the same man all those months ago.
The light from the gathering room momentarily blinded me, they still had those stupidly dark hallways. I get they're the Order Of Shadows, but did they have to take that literally?
Oh great, the four mystery people still had those tacky black cloaks.
"Welcome back." Said mystery person number one. Okay, to make this easier, they're each getting assigned numbers to be addressed by. No complaints!
"Please say you guys got an updated apartment layout." I said, still upset about that.
Number 2 sighed, "you weren't brought here to insult us."
"We weren't?" Yukino asked. Yarah and I laughed, only I knew how dangerous it is to do this. Still laughed.
"No." Said number 2.
"Could've fooled me." I said. They decided to ignore that.
"You were brought here due to an incident that emerged after you three had left for Japan." Stated number 3.
I looked at Yukino, I didn't like the sound of this. We always had terrible luck when 'incidents' happened. Yukino's expression told me that she felt the same way.
"What kind of Incident?" I asked uneasily.
All four of them parted, and a badly burned short Brazilian man-who looked similar to Yarah-stepped forward. It was a very anticlimactic moment, mostly because neither Yukino nor I knew who the heck this guy was. Only thing I could tell was that half his body was covered in burn scars.
