"You look Ridiculous."

The trip back to Skyhold was almost a day's worth. Quick and painless.

With the stronghold cleaned out of bandits there weren't any archers or anything.

Half way through the trip you felt tapping on your shoulder. You turn around to see Dorian.

"What's wrong?" You looked for wounds... okay maybe you were acting like a mother. You wanted to make sure he was perfectly okay.

He just shook his head. "The Winter Palace is in two days... do you have anything to wear?" He continued to walk, you caught up with him.

"Well Josephine has our outfits, so I do not have a clue what they look like. Is that a problem?" You held his hand, at this point you didn't care anymore. You wanted people to know.

Know that he's yours.

"If it's something gaudy, count me out. I detest horrible outfits." He shivered.

"That's rude, but come on. You look good in anything.." You mumbled. "Plus, it's not like we have high class tailors on spot, there would be no way they would be able to make.... seven? Yes, seven outfits in time for the Ball."

Dorian laughed a little. "You're terrible at compliments I/N."

"Is that why you're pink at the cheeks? You're blushing." You sang out.

He hit you playfully. "Only because you're a... oh nevermind." He huffed.

You smirked.

The two of you walked in slience, but it wasn't awkward it was nice. Hand in hand. What more could you ever want?

Dorian chuckled to himself.

"What is so funny?" You nudge him lightly.

"Its funny when you look at it, but this whole fling or what you want to call it, all began cause someone got drunk and showed his actual self. Why did you put up such a façade?" He looked at the ground.

"I guess you could say I had a hard time trusting anyone, I do not know. I mean learning you're a prisoner for something you didn't do then are told people worship you? Didn't mix too well with me I guess..." You sigh. "But hey, look on the bright side. You brought the real me out, I would still be stuck up if you weren't around." You smile at him

"I guess..." he mumbled.

"Don't think about it too much, you'll hurt yourself."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Dorian grumbled.

"Oh nothing.." You snickered.

You gripped his hand tighter.

Then you were both quiet again.

Skyhold was in sight now, you sigh with relief.

Your first plan of action was to go straight to your chambers and fall right on the bed.

"Inquisitor! You back." Scout Elissa ran up to you. "Shall I tell the Council?"

"Please... no.. I just need rest. Tell them in the morning." You forgot that you were still holding Dorian's hand. He was way to quiet now.

"Yes, Ser." She saluted and went back to her business.

When the two of you were in the main building Dorian cleared his throat.

"Well I assume this is where we part? I'm sure you're busy and probably tired..." Dorian looked down at his feet.

"No, I'm not busy.. and trust me we're both tired, Will you come with me? Or shall I take you to your nook?" You pulled him to the side and grabbed his other hand.
