You had dragged Dorian from his nook up to your chambers, for the rest of the day you just wanted to forget your duties, being the Inquisitor, all of it. You just wanted to hold Dorian and keep him close, thats all.

"Rather eager are we not Amatus?" Dorian chuckled softly. You groaned softly and shook your head.

"Trust me if it was like that I would have picked you up, I just want to relax. All this," You motioned around the both of you. "Is stressful and right now I just want to rest." You say in a soft tone and Dorian leaves it be. Once in your quarters, you found a seat on the sofa and Dorian took a seat in one of the chairs near the fireplace.

"I/N... Something is wrong, it's not the stress getting to you, its something else.." Dorian said softly. "I'm here for you, so will you tell me what is wrong?" His words were soothing, like honey but you could feel the emotions coming from them. The biggest one was genuine worry, he was worrying about you.

You gave a sigh and knew if you tried to brush it off he would give you all kinds of hell for hiding it from him. "Do you remember that 'dream' I had, the one about the future." You look at him and watched him nod. "Well I'm scared that its all coming true. I met a woman today. The same woman from that damn dream... Dorian what if I actually lose my arm..." You held your head "What if I lose you?" You muttered, unsure if he heard it.

"Amatus... I can understand you're scared but don't worry about the future you saw, for now just worry about what's going to happen now. In the present." You could feel him trying to be caring but you didn't want to believe in what he said. You felt deep down inside that the future you saw is what is going to happen, that its the true future and you cannot change it. "I/N, look at me," You were hesitant to but did so. "you need to see the bigger picture here. The choices you make here and now will effect then, and if you are too busy thinking about the future you will make those terrible choices that will lead up to that future. Think of the choices you can make here and what will change that future. You are capable of much more than you think, your choices will effect then. That's it. Try to make the most out of your choices and you will get a brighter future.. one where were both happy."

"I-" You were speechless, he was right, the decisions you make from here on now will change the path of the future for the greater or the worst. Everything is in your hands. "Alright Dorian... I'll keep that in my head." You gave him a small smile. He just crossed his arms.

"Don't you start doubting what I said now." He glared at you. "What I said is something you need to memorise."

"I'm not, love. Really.. its just a lot to take in, I mean... I know that all of Thedas is depending on me but it's just a long of weight on my shoulders..." You watched as he got up. "Where are you going?" You asked but he didn't answer back, he just walked behind the sofa and started to rub your shoulders gently. You gave a soft chuckle. "What are you doing..? Normally I'm the one to pamper you." You snickered as you looked up at him.

"I want to take the weight of your shoulders, you dolt." Dorian smiled. "Plus a simple massage never hurts anyone, now shut up and look straight." He chuckled, and you rolled your eyes but looked forward. It felt nice, really. He didn't try to hurt you in anyway, he was gentle as he worked at your shoulders. "Kaffas Amatus-" You heard him whisper. "You're bloody tense, it's like kneading a boulder..." You couldn't help but to start laughing and you could barely make out hearing Dorian slip into his tongue and mutter something in Tevene. Once he finally managed to get the knots out of your shoulder, you felt immediately better. You heard him snicker to himself as he gave your cheek a small peck.

"I told you so. You feel much better now don't you?" He went back to his seat but you stopped him. You had a hold of his wrist and you kept him from going back, you gently pulled him closer to you and mde him sit with you. He chuckled. "I think I've got calluses just from that."

"Oh hush you, I know I was tense..." You held him close and hummed softly. Then you remembered what Varric had said earlier. "Dorian... about us being y'know..." You touched the ring around his finger. "The others have already figured it out... well Varric has. I'm pretty sure he probably told everyone by now but I figured I would tell you before you come for my throat." You gave a dry chuckle.

"Well if they know, now would be a perfect time for you to finally go get a ring, seems foolish just for me to have one." He looked at you with those same pale storm green eyes you fell in love with all those months ago.

"Right.. I'll have to see if I can find a copy of the greyish green ring I found." You smile at him. "But Dorian.. what about your father? Will you keep this from him or..?" You watched as he looked away from you and looked at the fire dancing in its place.

"I would rather we not talk of him now, I know the right thing to to would be to tell him.. but I just cant find myself to do so. If I do who knows, he might try to get me to come home immediately and I'll never get to see you again.." He said softly, you could feel the pain behind those words.

You rubbed his arm soothingly. "Right... Sorry I brought it up love." He laid his head against your shoulder and sighed.

"No its fine, you brought it to my attention thats all.. I'll have to do something about it sooner or later before the rumors get worse." He muttered, you kissed the top of the other's head.

"That's would be best..." You tried to figure out a way to make him feel better. "Well how about I go get you some wine and we forget all about this." You offered and felt him look up at you with a wide smile.

"I would like that I/N.." He said as he gave your chin a kiss. "Could you also bring up some fruit..? Doesn't really matter what kind."

"Anything for you love." You smiled at him. "I'll do anything for you." You got up and heard him giggle to himself.

"That was so sappy Amatus.."

"I know Dorian but what can I say? I'm just a sappy man." You chuckled and left the room, your heart beating fast. Maker.. what wouldn't you do for him. He was your everything and you wanted to show him that, even though he already knows you still wanted him to know that you care so much for him and you would even die just for him to see another sunrise.

//So its been a while... i'll probably start having a new chapter every month? if not one every two months. i just dont want to over work myself with this and school, but anyway sorry its kinda short and i hope it sounds alright.//
