"jihoon, don't touch that!" miran scolds and jihoon puts down the small blue box. "i'm kicking you two out, i swear."
"how is your mom okay with you being loud? this is why you shouldn't be in the same room together. the noise pollution, i swear," yoonbin shakes his head.
miran stands in front of the curtain, ready to open them, "she's still downstairs making a late dinner for us anyway. it's fine."
she opens the curtain and she sees junkyu in his room. he looks up from his phone and waves.
"wait here. i'll talk to junkyu, ask him how things went, you know?" miran opens the glass door. she sees jihoon reaching for the box again. "i said don't touch that! yoon, can you make sure he doesn't get his hands on that? i can trust you, right?"
"yeah, sure," yoonbin shrugs.
she glares at jihoon one last time and steps out into her balcony, sliding the glass door close.
"how did things go?"
"good! really good! she texted me saying she had fun today and that she and i should hang out more," junkyu can't help but smile.
"holy shit, that's amazing!" miran smiles back.
"i know, i'm so happy." junkyu sighs happily.
"at this rate you and yeoreum are gonna end up together by the end of first term," she teases, and her eyes land in her room, looking at jihoon who got a hold of her wallet. "oh my god, let's talk later, jihoon's trying to rob me."
junkyu gestures over at yoonbin, "yoonbin's sleeping over?"
"yeah," miran sighs. "i'll text you later."
she enters her room and jihoon freezes.
he drops the wallet, "i wasn't planning on taking anything. i could tell you needed to get out of that conversation. i gave you an excuse."
"i appreciate that, i guess, but there's no avoiding it. he's my best friend."
"not a very good friend if he can't see how you really feel."
"he's just focused on someone else, that's all. all i can really do is support him."
she sits down beside yoonbin, shoulders drooping and voice lowering, "that's all i can do."
