as she's putting her things in her bag, miran watches yeoreum come up to junkyu with a smile. she turns away and turns to yoonbin instead.

"ready to go?"

yoonbin doesn't look up from his bag, "give me a second, i can't find my earphones."

"you probably forgot them in the music room," she shrugs, slinging her bag on her shoulder. "let's go look."

miran starts walking towards the door and yoonbin picks up his bag from the desk and follows. she notices junkyu and yeoreum are gone. they exit the classroom and start making their way to the music room. miran waits outside by the door as yoonbin goes in and searches for his earphones.

a minute passes and yoonbin comes out, "got 'em."

"god, i'm tired," miran yawns.

"aren't we all? come on, let's go."

miran sits down and stays silent, waiting for everyone else to settle down and for yedam to talk. everyone quiets down and yedam sits down.

"we need everything done today, and i think we will finish it all today. only miran, junkyu, and i have—" yedam stops himself. "where's junkyu?"

miran opens her mouth to speak but yoonbin answers for her, "out with yeoreum."

"out with—" yedam stops himself again and sighs, running a hand through his hair. "what about his work?"

"maybe ask miran about that," yoonbin shrugs.

yedam's head snaps towards her, "please tell me you're not gonna do the work for him."

"well, what do you want me to do? call him right now and tell him to ditch yeoreum and get his ass over here and do his work?" she sighs.

"preferably yes."

"just let him be. give the poor dude a break. he's happy," miran sighs again. "it's just this one time."

"it better be just this one time," yedam shakes his head. "anyway, miran and i need to make a document listing all the people in the evaluation program this year. i need some of you to organize some folders and some to look over evaluation videos of some of the students from our school's japan branch. apparently they're thinking about having some transfer here."

"really?"

miran runs a hand through her hair, "let's just get this over with."

yedam finishes his part of the work (and even some of junkyu's to help miran). he closes his laptop and looks at her. everyone else left already, they were the only ones who stayed behind. yedam offers to do some more of junkyu's part. miran refuses.

"are you sure?" yedam asks.

"yeah. i'm almost done anyway. i'll be done in thirty minutes or less," she replies, not looking up from the laptop.

"if you say so," yedam says. "look, i know you get a little annoyed when we call you out for your decisions regarding junkyu, but we're just looking out for you. if he's really serious about yeoreum, what will you do?"

"god," she sighs. "i don't know, yedam. i really don't know. move on, i suppose. that's really the only thing i could do. and be happy for him."

"are you ready for it though?"

she chuckles bitterly, not answering and continuing to type. yedam takes that as a no.

he changes the topic, "can you do the rest at home? i don't wanna leave you alone here."

"yeah, sure," she closes her laptop and puts it in the bag.

"i know jihoon can pick you up but do you want a drive home?"

she shrugs, "i guess."

yedam and miran exit the student council room. yedam locks the door and puts the key back in his pocket. when they walk out of the main doors, yedam's dad is already there waiting for them.

"can we drive miran home? jihoon took the car."

"yeah," her dad answers. "hi, miran."

"hey, mr. bang," she smiles as she gets in the back seat.

yedam and his dad talk and miran is left to look outside the window. are you ready for it though? she scoffs inside her head. she's young, what does she know about something as serious as love? she knows her feelings for junkyu are real. she feels stupid because she knows those feelings are slowly breaking her and there's no one but her to pick up the pieces.
