"hey, yeoreum," junkyu smiles at her as yeoreum gets on.
"hey," she greets back. "thank you for inviting me! a day with the student council? i'm honored."
"don't be, they're losers. i'm the only valid member," miran snickers as she puts the car in drive.
"i'm looking forward to the beach volleyball though. hyunsuk's been bragging about winning the game in the chat."
"wow, not surprised," a car passes miran and she realizes it's yoonbin.
"yeah, he and seunghun got into a heated argument about who's gonna win," junkyu says, looking at his phone.
"i hate this family," miran shakes her head.
miran spends the rest of the trip in silence while junkyu and yeoreum chat away. she glances at the two from time to time and each time junkyu's smile is wider. miran shuns those thoughts and thinks how happy she is he's making progress. the two burst into laughter. i'm so so happy for him, she thinks as she loosens her grip (that she didn't even notice tighten) on the wheel. i'm happy for him.
