Bonjour Natalie,
I had to check on the human.
I'll be back before it is night. Excusez-moi.Serena
"You had one job!" yelled Natalie as she ripped apart the note that Serena left for them. "All you had to do, Michell, was to look after her and make sure Serena wouldn't leave!"
"How is this my fault, Natalie? You wanted to keep the local alive so badly," said Michell while playing around with her feet in a bathtub, "I still don't get what you want to do in this awful no-lifers town anyways. We could have picked literally any other town than this dead place."
"That is none of your business, Michell," said Natalie cold while throwing a towel into her face. "Get dressed. We will have to prevent your mess getting any worse."
◇He waited for her. For Serena. Jackson couldn't stand how they ended. He knew they had only just met but he felt some sort of connection with her. He had to make sure Serena didn't hate him. "I really don't give a fuck." He kept hearing that over and over in his mind. Every girl he knew, cared about this stuff. They loved the gossip, the rumours, the popularity, but not Serena. For the new student, she didn't fit in, he thought. That alone, she looked so familiar to the woman in his dream. He couldn't understand why.
"Are you stalking me?" asked Serena as she walked out of the classroom of Mrs. Rouge, the teacher French.
"No, not really. I am waiting for," he spotted Jane, "Jane!" He waved at Jane who had no idea what was going on. She confusily waved back at him.
"Okay," said Serena. "Could you move then or are you walking along with me?"
Jackson nodded, "It is polite to escort a new student."
"Jack, are you trying to hit on her again like you did in history," Jane said when she had caught up with the two. "I hope he wasn't being a dick," she whispered to Serena.
"I can hear you, Jane," said Jackson annoyed.
"That is the whole point, cousin," she teased. "Anyways, Serena, do you want to do the assignment for French with me? Her accent is unbelievable, Jack."
"I am not sure, Jane. We might already leave for France before fall. I do not want to cause you any trouble, I will just do it on my own," smiled Serena to Jane.
Is she French or something?
"Oh, of course." Jane was slightly disappointed.
''Tu es une chère,'' Serena said kindly with one angelic French accent.
"Merci beaucoup, Serena," smiled Jane.
"Tu parles Français, Jackson?" asked Serena. She genuinely wondered if he could understand French.
"Je ne parle pas Français," said Jackson with a poor French accent.
"He dropped out in his sophomore year." Jane rolled with her eyes. "That is the only thing he can say. And can remember."
"Thanks Jane, but could you excuse us now?" He looked at her demanding Jane to leave.
"Fine. I will talk to you later, Serena. You have my number. See you tomorrow," she said as she took off.
"I thought you were waiting for Jane," Serena opened her locker to grab her things.
"Uhh.."
"Get to the point, please."
