Creatures with manipulative- No. Creatures who use manipulation. That is not just it. Think Jackson. They were controlling your every move. They use hypnosis. "Monsters with hypnosis". Oh, three thousand results. Great. Where do I start? "Mysterious Creatures" Well, that does seem like something I can relate too.

"I woke up one day. Remembering seeing a woman. Her lips were covered in blood. It was all so vague." My dream. I had the same thing. "I can't remember anything else other than that she was beyond this earth. She was beautiful. I couldn't stop looking. Yet she had one of those horrifying truths hidden in her eyes. I never saw her again but all I can think of is that the night before I went out but I can't remember anything about that either." One comment from a trusted member. "Vampire chicks, bro."

Vampires? That would explain the blood, the hypnosis, why they said "Humanity" a lot. I just can't believe it. That is something for a Netflix show, Jack. But..

"Jackson! There is a girl here for you!" yelled the uncle from downstairs. "Please, come in," he heard his uncle say. Jackson immediately closed down his computer and rushed downstairs. He almost tripped off the stairs but landed safely on the ground. "Jackson, are you alright?" Sam stepped closer and whispered in his ear, "Must be because of the pretty girl, huh." His uncle smiled at him. Jackson saw who it was, it was Serena. Did his uncle just invite a vampire to their home, he thought to himself. "Well, I will leave you two alone. It was lovely to see you again, Serena."

Serena smiled. "Likewise, Mr. Smith." She waited for him to leave the house. "Jackson, I assume you have been googling after my last visit."

Can vampires read your mind?

"Yes?"

Jackson almost choked in his own air. "Yes, what?" he asked nervously.

"Yes, you googled about fictional creatures." She saw that Jackson slowly tried to grab an umbrella. "Jackson! I am not going to hurt you." She felt offended. "Please-"

"I know what you are!" Jackson had grabbed the umbrella. He pointed the wooden end at her. "You are a vampire!" Serena laughed and laughed. She shook her head. "What? What is it? What is so funny to you?"

"I am not a vampire, Jackson. You can put the umbrella down now. Wood doesn't kill me. It just hurts. What would you do if they are hunting for your kind? You make a diversion. Something believable but not too obvious." She walked towards the living room. "Are you just going to stand there, or do you want me to tell you more about what you have experienced?" She heard Jackson putting the umbrella back in its stand. He sat down on a chair. He refused to look at Serena. "Why won't you look at me? Is it because of what Natalie has done to you?"

"She controlled my every move, Serena! Of course, it is that." Jackson quickly glanced at her. He saw she was upset. "How can I know you won't do the same thing to me?"

"If I did, I would have done it yesterday when I saw you in the hospital." Jackson turned to face her. "Thank you." "Why didn't you make me forget about what happened?" he asked. "I guess, a part of me didn't want to. But I have to," she said while looking into his eyes.

"Wait! At least tell me why this is happening to me. Why does your sister want to hurt me so badly? What are you?" he shouted. "You owe me at least that. I promise I won't tell another soul. I need to know."

Serena looked away. "I can't do that."

"At least give me today. Serena. After today, you can do what you want with my memories." He moved next to her. "Please. I need to know."

"Fine," she looked into his dreamy blue eyes, "but once the clock strikes midnight, you won't remember a thing about Sirens. Because that is what I really am."
