"Is there a problem?" said a sweet heavenly voice coming from the forest. Another young woman appeared out of the shadows. Jackson saw a beautiful young woman whose clothes were covered in blood. Her hands were full with the blood of someone else. It looked like she had ripped a body open with just her bone hands. "I don't understand, are you-" She began to hum at him and put her right hand on his face. She felt something she had never felt before in her life when their eyes met. She hesitated for a moment. Then she looked at him, with a loving tone she said, "You saw me appear. You were distracted by my eyes. You saw me wearing only a black top with white shorts and grey slippers without the blood on it."
"Serena, what happened? You look like a mess," said Natalie concerned. The last thing she needed right now was Serena losing control over her emotions, and blood lust.
She broke her eye contact with Jackson. "I," she mumbled, "I just got carried away. He is alive. Don't worry," Serena lied. "I told him to go back to whatever he planned to do so."
"Alright, let's go then," Natalie said while she opened the car door. She sat down. Michell stepped in as well. They saw how Serena looked back deeply into the guy's eyes. "Serena?"
"I am feeling like having a little fun," Serena smiled playfully. "I will find you." Natalie nodded and drove away. She waited for the car to be out of sight. She couldn't risk them hearing what was really going on. "You feel like humanity doesn't exist. You are trying so hard to fight it but I can see it deeply hidden in your eyes. Are you not happy being a human?" she genuinely asked.
Being compelled by Serena, Jackson answered in full honesty, "No. I feel like I am trapped here. Cursed."
"Cursed? Is that because of your parents' death?" she asked looking deeply into his blue eyes. She wondered why her gifts weren't fully working, usually she could easily read a person's mind. Maybe it had to do with the fact he tried to suppress those thoughts, Serena thought.
"I was supposed to be dead with them. I was the only survivor that night. Nobody told me that. Nobody told me what had really happened. I had to find it out myself last December: 'Jackson Smith, the only survivor of the Sweet River's pilot crash, following his family's footsteps into the fish industry?', as the news reporter had said it. My uncle wasn't happy that I found out about my parents that way. He even punched the owner of our local newspaper on that same day right after he told me what happened on the night of December 1st, 2002. Apparently, I was saved by an unknown woman. If she only had let me die with them," he breathed out.
"December 1st, 2002?" Serena said. "Wasn't that when Nat killed," Serena sighed, "Well, at least this time she didn't kill another child like she did with that Smith family. Wait, you said 'Smith', you are a Smith as well," Serena said in full surprise. "Are you related to a William Peter Smith by any chance?"
"My grandfather's name was Douglas. He had an older brother who got murdered alongside my great grandfather's first wife in the 1920s. His name was William I think."
"My God! She is still obsessed with this family after so many years!" Serena yelled in anger. "What is it that makes your blood so meaningful to her?" she asked herself. "Tell me Jackson, do you feel like death always surrounds you?" Jackson nodded. "Oh, Natalie, I think that I have found your guilty pleasure but why?" Serena sighed. "Alright, follow me, dear. It is time we find out what skeletons my sister has hidden in her closet. We just need a plan."

"I need a plan," Jackson mumbled to himself. "I should have thought about this better before texting her, Terry. Why did I have to say 'I remember' to her? Will that make her come back all the sudden? I could have remembered literally anything. Maybe I should just add 'Hey, I know you brainwashed me too and this is crazy but just explain it to me, maybe?' God, no. That sounds like some song, right, Ter?" Jackson looked at his dog who certainly thought his owner was being a typical human going a tad crazy. "I am sure she gets it, right? Like how can you forget that!"
