Sweet River. A town used to be known for its ancient pirate stories. Nowadays, Sweet River was a small fishermen town, located close to the sea. You could feel the fresh air floating through your hair while just walking down the streets. You could smell that typical ocean scent while you were getting closer to the shore.

Sweet River was one of the oldest towns of New England, North America. It used to be known under another name before the pirates settled here and founded Sweet River. Locals had lived here like their ancestors did before them, only the youngest of Sweet River left this place, but they always returned to their roots.

Speaking of the youngest, summer break was almost over for the students attending Sweet River High..

September 1st, 2019

It was late in the night. The clouds covered the moon. The wind was making the leaves of the trees move from the left to the right. It was quite normal for Sweet River to be this way, but this night it felt different for its residents.

One of the residents was walking down the beach with their golden retriever during this night. It was a man, a young handsome man. His blond hair was short but kind of wavy. He had those dreamy blue eyes where you can lose yourself into. The young man was also a bit muscled in his arms and torso. He wore a black shirt and dark blue jeans on this summer night.

Jackson Smith, that was the young man's name.He was about to be a senior of Sweet River High. He was struggling by thinking about his future. What will he do after finishing high school?

He wanted to go with his friends and leave Sweet River, but Jackson couldn't leave his uncle alone. He had to stay and follow the path of a Smith man: a deadly normal life as a man working in the fish industry, here in Sweet River.

"It can't be that bad, Terry. Sweet River is the place to be for someone like me. Always fresh air. Close to the sea. Everyone knows, and loves, each other here," he said while looking down at his dog. Terry stared at him like Jackson wasn't being honest to himself. "Great. Not even you believe me. How am I going to tell Nathan and Joe that I am not coming with them." Jackson sighed. He picked up a rock that he saw laying in the sand and threw it in the sea.

I just wished this place wasn't just so damn boring.

He found some sort of relief after looking at the waves for a couple of minutes. The sea has always been a friend to him. It must be the pirate blood he had running through his veins. Suddenly, Terry barked loudly. Jackson turned around and saw that his dog seemed to be protective. Jackson looked around. He found Terry's reaction strange considering there was no one else near them.

"Come on, boy. It is time we head back home." Jackson put Terry on a leash but he kept growling. "Everything is fine, Terry," he said with a smile while petting him. "There is nobody here!" Jackson and his dog walked their way home on a small path next to the road. The path was made out of seashells and slowly transferred into stones as the closer they got to the heart of Sweet River. It took some time to get from the beach to his house.

Jackson couldn't see much. There were street lights shining, but not that bright enough. He could only see so little of its surroundings. Nevertheless, there was some fog hanging around. The wind had gone stronger and louder.

Fuck man. On a summer night? Nature sure has gone wild today.

All the sudden, Jackson felt drops of rain falling onto him. In no time, his clothes were all wet. His hair was all straight because of the rain. Terry's fur was soaking wet. It was pouring. "Great. Thank you!" he yelled out loud. Jackson ran and ran, trying to escape the terrible weather. He couldn't see anything because of all the rain that was getting in his face. He felt cold and tired, but he couldn't stop running, not until he found shelter. "Just a bit more, Terry!" Jackson kept running and running as he entered the forest. He couldn't see exactly where he was walking, all the rain blew into his face because of the wind. Then when he took a left, Jackson saw a bright coming from the side of the road.

What's going on there?

Jackson spotted a red Mercedes pulled over. He saw what looked like two women but couldn't see exactly who they were or what they were doing. All he could hear was that one of the women was worried about someone.Terry started to growl louder as they neared the car. He found it strange that Terry was being so aggressive. "Are you okay?" he yelled. Jackson walked slowly towards them. They were girls, well young women around his age. "Are you okay?! Do you need help?!"

One of the young women turned around. She looked like she wasn't enjoying whatever that was going on. "I'm going to break your neck, but first." she said while humming a melody. Jackson lost himself listening to the melody. He was in a trance by the sound. Terry was howling like a puppy.

"Michell!" yelled a slightly older woman who had stepped in front of her. She was looking angry at the younger woman.

"Ugh! What do you care about this no-lifer, Nat! He could have seen something! Let me just end his miserable life!"

"He is a local, Michell." She smashed her fist on the car. "We don't want to bring up any questions yet. Do you understand!" Nat demanded.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes while sighing quietly. Michell looked deeply into Jackson's eyes. It seemed his memories were being adjusted. She clapped loudly. It brought the young man out of her hypnosis.

"Uhh.." He blinked. "You two are okay?" asked Jackson who had no idea he lost a few moments of his life.

"We are fine. Thank you," said Nat friendly. "We just decided it was too dangerous to drive in this weather."

She sounds awfully British.

Jackson nodded. "That is a wise decision, miss." He looked at the women. Observed them. The younger woman, Michell, had short wavy yet curly black hair. Gorgeously blue eyes, which were just irresistible to look at. She wore a tight short black dress with red high heels. It made her look too hot to be true. Nevertheless, her whole body looked amazing. He could tell she was in shape. Jackson assumed she was only one or two years older than he.

The other woman, Nat, the one who sounded British, looked in her early twenties. She had her red hair loose with a few small strokes hanging over her face. Just like Michell, gorgeous eyes which you just have to look at. They were green like the leaves in the summer. She wore a white blouse with black jeans which did her body right. Her brown boots looked incredibly cool. Overall, Nat's entire vibe made you want to crave for something more.

He found them incredibly mysterious. He wondered why they were out here so late. He knew everyone in Sweet River, but not them.

"Is there a problem?" said a sweet heavenly voice coming from the forest. Another young woman appeared out of the shadows.

Jackson looked at the other young woman. He was distracted by her beautiful brown eyes. He was lost by how amazing they were, more beautiful than the eyes of the other two. She looked too good to be true, like an angel that had fallen among humans. The young woman had long dark blond hair. She wore only a black top which kind of showed her bra along with white shorts and grey slippers. There was a silver necklace with an s-shaped pendant hanging around her neck that shined bright because of the small diamond in it.

Who is she? I have to know her. There is something about her.
