Luke's P.O.V

"So. Please don't hate me. I told you everything. What more could you want?"

They all sat there staring at me. The longer they sat there, the more I started to worry.

"Hello? Is anybody in there you three?"

And then, questions were on rapid fire. Is it fun? Can you eat raw meat without getting sick? What do you look like on a full moon? Have you killed anybody? How many rabbits have you eaten? Do they taste good?

"Alright. Stop. Hold on just a second. Let me answer these. Yes and no, yes, a wolf, no, 13, yes."

"Well that was impressive, but I need to know one thing. Why did you move here?"

"My mom and dad got a divorce. She didn't want to stay in Melbourne, but my two brothers are still there with my dad and we can't get them back."

"Does she know?"

"No and I want to keep it that way. She doesn't need to worry about me all the time. She did every time that I was home alone with my dad. He was an ass and he beat my mom, my brothers, and me even. But only when I said something to him. I'm the reason my mom is still alive right now. I stopped a beating after I was turned and she finally got up the courage to divorce the asshole."

"Is everything good with her then?"

"Yea. Is everything good with us. You do know that I need you to not tell anybody, right?"

"Could you tell us one thing first?"

"What?"

"What is going on with you and Thalia?"

"Nothing. At least I think it's nothing is. Why? Do you know something I don't?"

"I think she wants you to ask her out dude. She looks at you like she is expecting it."

"Really?"

"Yea. And about the keeping your secret, we will. And now, how do you get out of the forest from here. I am completely turned around."

"Let's go. And I need to know where to take you all."
