Vein had one annoying thought fixated in an annoying way in his mind: aw, really? I just finished a wild fight with Marble and she's here already when I didn't even get to rest?  Aw, really? I just finished---

It kept going on and on and on until he realized who was at the door. It wasn't Marble. It was not Magma.

It was Snuggly.

Vein shivered at that thought. He had a horrifying image of laughing while Snuggly stabbed him to death with her spike because Vein laughed and laughed about her name. Vein had now started to wonder if you could really laugh 'till you die. He did NOT want to go up to her to find out. He shifted his head so that his eyes focused on her face. BloodWings had to be brave. But Vein didn't know if he still could look her directly in the eye. Vein had a sudden feeling that Snuggly was the one who projected thoughts into his mind. He glanced at Blizzard, his face stricken with surprise, and had a feeling that he knew something about Snuggly they didn't know.

"HEY!" Vein bellowed at Snuggly. "Why'd you blow up your grand hall?"

Snuggly growled. "That's the Grand Hall for you, BloodWing! Now Blizzard, why are you conspiring with our worst enemy? That is punishable by---"

"Leave him alone, Snuggly!" Vein quickly jumped to his new friend's defence.

Snuggly stared at him with disgust. "My name isn't Snuggly."

Vein staggered back in surprise. "What? Then why did you make me laugh? Six or seven of your subjects died because of so dumb prank? And what's your real name?"

Snuggly-or-not-so-Snuggly cackled. "My real name is Timestopper, and I suppose you'll know why!"

Blizzard gasped, but it was too late. Vein tried to charge Snuggly-who-was-know-Timestopper, only to find that he couldn't move at all. He was frozen in time, and he didn't know how long.

Timestopper could still move freely. "Ah, it feels nice to have frozen enemies. Now I can get Blizzard!"

She stalked towards Blizzard, her spike glinting in the rising hours of dawn. She raised it over his head, and Vein braced himself for the horrible shlock sound of decapitating. But he didn't hear it. He couldn't turn his head to see, but suddenly he could move again. He slammed through the wall, where it blew up.

He shot through the wall, wings flailing as he screamed through the air, his only thought that Blizzard was dead and he accidentally abandoned him.
