"Vein!" A voice called.
Vein opened his eyes slowly. "Huh? What is it? I'm sleeping . . . just another---"
"No!" The voice said sharply. "We have to get to the council. The president wants to see you."
Vein groaned and sat up, stretching his wings. "Why?"
Suddenly Vein was in a dark, damp place. In the center was a big basalt fountain, sprouting water. Vein took a step back and fell suddenly. He smashed into four bars which broke over him. He landed flat on his back, moaning in pain. The cut on his back was worse than ever, and it prevented him from bending.
"This sucks," Vein muttered. Then Vein noticed where he was, and he got angry. It was his old TimeWing cell. He growled at the bars which seemed to refix themselves. He burst into flames and threw himself into the bars. He expected it to work, but nothing happened. Vein started to panic, thinking he'd be here forever. He tried to move then realized that he had chains on his ankles. He tried to melt those . . . but to no avail.
He was about to shoot flames in outrage when a white fluffy TimeWing materialized from thin air. "Wha---?" Vein began, but then the TimeWing in front of him pulled out a key from nowhere. She approached him, and she unlocked the cell. Vein suddenly was on fire and was thrown against the TimeWing. He thought he'd burn her, but he noticed that the TimeWing was behind her. She was pushing him while flames licked her fur, unharming her.
"No more burning for you," she snarled in Vein's ear. "And life, for that matter."
Then quickly, the fountain in front of Vein morphed into a giant pool. Vein could feel the cold from where he was, and he spotted ice in one side. He realized was the TimeWing behind him was doing, and he screamed and flailed. He swung his tail then realized that he couldn't control it. He tried to open his wings, but he was frozen. All he could do was scream as he plunged into the ice-cold water, steam rising from his scales and dissolving, knowing that Marble defeated him.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Vein flailed, feeling a stinging, sharp pain on his side. He shot up into the air and saw another BloodWing.
Blizzard woke up immediately, shooting up towards him. Andesite was still snoring, but the BloodWing next to Andesite probably couldn't kill her. He inspected for a soft part, but he found none. His partner (which Vein realized with a shock, learning that there were two other BloodWings), stared at the spot where Blizzard was, staring into her claws.
"What's wrong with you?" Blizzard yelled over the loud thunder. A storm was approaching. "Are you completely sadistic?"
"Sadistic could say it. I suppose we should go meet the BloodWings?"
Blizzard paled. "Fine, but I'll stay behind you."
"All right."
The touched down on the ground, close to the male BloodWing. "What are you guys doing?" He asked.
The male guard turned around, wide-eyed. "We're looking for you!" He said.
"What?" Vein said as Blizzard krept around to Andesite. "Why?"
"We have to kill you!" He bellowed and stabbed his spear downward. Vein grabbed the sharp part which percied his hand. He didn't cry aloud in pain, though, even though it was stinging unbearably.
Suddenly, Blizzard yelled very loud in Andesite's ear. "ENEMIES!"
Andesite leaped up and Vein saw fury in her eyes. Yikes, he thought. I think this BloodWing is a gone.
Andesite ran towards Vein's attacker and head-butted him. Vein guessed she did it with a strong force, because he flew over the coast, clutching his spear which exited painfully out of Vein's talons. The BloodWing flew over there heads, and Vein ran up to follow him. He reached the coast and saw the BloodWing plunge into the water.
Vein had never been so freaked. He never knew what water could do to a BloodWing when sumbmerged. Vein forgot about his pain and stared at the flailing, screaming BloodWing as steam enveloped out of his scales. "NO! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME HERE! YOU---" the BloodWing stopped abruptly as a tidal wave crashed over him, killing the dragon.
Silence. Then the sound of footsteps crashed through the sand. Blizzard came, with the other BloodWing guard. She had a gash on around the left side of her underbelly, showing she was impaled through the heart. Blizzard tossed her into the water as smoke broke through the water once again.
