"CoralFins," Marble snarled. "The most cowardly tribe."

Slug suddenly threw over his powerful tail and thunked Marble's snout. "Sure, but we're the smartest. And also, we avoid fights when we can so that our tribe doesn't get endangered."

Marble staggered back, blood pouring from her snout wound. She muttered a spell, and slowly, the wound went away. She charged back at the CoralFin, and Vein saw the fatal spike unfurling out, glistening in the light. She swung it at Slug, and Vein ran to intercept it. But Slug didn't need protection. Because as smart as he was, he obviously had studied fighting. He grabbed the tail with his fins and raked his retractable claws across her tail, leaving a trail of blood. Vein suddenly jumped on Marble to prevent her from casting a healing spell. But she whispered something anyway, and Vein suddenly bounced back uncontrollably, stumbling continuously hazard towards the ocean's coast.

He commanded his scales and his whole body to burst into flames, and in an instant, he was a rolling fireball. He splashed into the ocean . . . and expected to hear extreme pain or just disintegrate. He heard his friend's anguished cries, and Marble's cackle. But . . . Vein wasn't dead. He could still see flames in his body. Was this a new BloodWing power? Flames that couldn't be put out with water or (hopefully, theoretically) magic?

Anyways, he plunged out of the water, fire licking his body. He shut off his fire and charged at Marble, who looked just as surprised as Andesite, who was behind her. Andesite suddenly slammed into Marble while she was distracted, and she went careening into Vein's outstretched talons. He caught her and raked her exposed underbelly before throwing her into water. And even this was painful for Vein to do. He's not a big fan of gore, and more blood probably made him sick . . . which was unusual for a typical BloodWing, as the sight of blood barely fazed them.

He ran towards his friends while Marble was spluttering and splashing. Vein ran back to the coast and shoved her head under once again. The water stung on his claws, but he turned around and, outstretching his wings, he took to the sky, with his friends close behind him.
