Chapter 26 (Simple)

He couldn't take it easy. Well, he shouldn't.

After rolling in bed for around half an hour he decided to get up silently and head towards the corridor. His mind has been a mess since a few days from the stress and the physical effort in the training, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it. So he just decided to take a brief night stroll to relax.

He exited the Karasuno's boys dorm and went outside, not before stopping a moment to look at the girls room, thinking of someone.

Nishinoya quickly discarded that thought and walked towards the outside.

The moon was at the top of the sky, it was past midnight. The cold breeze made him shiver a bit since he was wearing a short sleeve t-shirt and shorts for sleeping.

His eyes landed on the sky, as his breathing slowed down. He knew he couldn't keep up like this. After all this time, someone had to do something, and if it wasn't her, then it would be him. 

"Yuu-kun?" A sudden voice from behind him broke the silence of the night, as he turned around to look at your standing figure. He was surprised that you were there at that hour.

"(Y/N)-chan? What are you doing here?" Nishinoya asked but he knew it was probably the same reason he had.

"I... couldn't sleep, and decided to take some fresh air" You confessed. "What about you?"

"Same here, I guess we both could use a rest" He sighed, turning again to look at the moon.

Silence filled the air. Neither of them knew what to say, but it wasn't like they wanted to say something. Both were comfortable staring at the moon together, side by side, their minds cleared.

Everything seemed so simple at that moment. Their hands were inches away.

Nishinoya took air.

"You know that I love you, right?"

He was still staring at the moon. The moment you turned to look at him with a bit of surprise in your face, he finally looked at you in the eyes.

"I've fallen for you a long time ago" He confessed, his eyes glittering with the reflection of the moon.

You just stood there, a bit shocked. It was true that you suspected about the feeling of the boy but hearing him saying it so simply, it just made you smile. You lowered your face and started to laugh.

That took the boy by surprise.

"W-what? Why are you laughing?" He started to sweat, startled since he could have made you uncomfortable. "Did I say something embarrassing? I did, right? I'm sorry, I shouldn't hav-"

Before you could think anything, your hands made their way to his face and determined but gently your lips made contact with his.

His eyes were wide at first, but he soon relaxed and accommodate his hands in your back.

It wasn't the best kiss ever. Neither of you were experts since for both of you that was the first kiss. Your teeth touched his sometimes and you were a bit nervous, but the warm feeling in your chest made that kiss extremely special.

Nishinoya moved his lips a little, he was being very gentle and he caressed your back with his hands, bringing you closer. The flush in your cheeks couldn't take it anymore and you had to break the kiss in order to breath.

You pulled back but your faces were still really close and your breaths intertwined. He was breathing loudly as well.

Your eyes deeply stared at his and at that moment, you truly felt it. The connection you two had were stronger that you thought. You were truly in love.

"Your face is so red" He tried to mock you. It would have made you pout if it wasn't because his face was the same if not worse than yours, so you just smiled at him, as you gently caressed his cheek and then his front hair.

"I love you, Nishinoya Yuu" Your arms made their way around him as your head rested in his shoulder. His arms wrapped around you as a proud but still warm smile appeared in his face.

It all seemed too simple right then.

"I love you too, (Y/N)"

You two stayed there, now staring at the moon with a new perspective.

The birds could be heard as the sun finally rised. The hustle coming from inside the boys dorm was earlier that day.

As Tanaka widely yawned, his eyes landed on the bed next to him. It was suposed to be Nishinoya's bed, but it was empty.

"Hmm? Where did Nishinoya go?" He questioned whispering. Tanaka quickly discarted the thought since he assumed his friend has probably woke up earlier and went outside already, since the boy liked to get up early due to his inexhaustible energy.

As the rest of the boys got up and ready, Tanaka went outside the dorm to see if Nishinoya was around. However, instead of his little friend he found his beloved crush, Kiyoko.

"Kiyoko-san!" Tanaka greeted her with hearts in his eyes. "Good morning, you are as beautiful as always!" 

"Good morning, did you see (Y/N)-chan?" Shimizu blankly asked him. 

"Wait, (Y/N)-chan isn't with you?" Tanaka was confused when Shimizu said no with her head. "Nishinoya wasn't in his bed neither."

They turned towards the common room after hearing a kind of groan coming from the sofa. They stood there, in silence, and then cautiously approached the sofa from behind. 

What they saw almost made them scream.

Nishinoya was already awake, but he was hugging a very asleep (Y/N) who was snuggled in his chest, as he gently caressed her head with a warm smile in his face.

[ WELL, first of all I want to thank you guys so much for all the support and love you gave this story, and even more the patience you had with me even when I didn't update ^^' I'm sorry for the long wait and if this chapter isn't as good as the others or if it's too short, I tried to make it up by adding extra fluff in this chapter. 

I'd like to do another chapter as an epilogue, but honestly I'm not feeling motivated to write and I've only continued this because of the comments many of you left me <3 So, consider this "the end" of the story because I'm not even sure if I'll do another chapter as I said before.
