9. It's Flawless, It's Really Something
~~~
"Stay down here for a sec," I say to Drew and Steve.
"Got it, what do you think of the roster this year, Chase?" Drew averts his attention to Steve.
"Well, there aren't too many underclassmen, so that can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it," Steve pauses and glances up at me. I hadn't realized I was staring until he made eye contact with him. "And..." He continues, but I don't hear it as I head up to stairs to Taylor.
"Is Drew here?" Taylor asks as I open the door to my room. She is in the same position I left her in.
"You are gonna have back problems if you don't your posture. But yes, Drew is here," I pause. "And so is Stephen Chase" I mumble the last bit.
"I'm sorry, WHAT?" Taylor yells.
"Shhhh!!! Drew is talking to him right now, just change, I know you have stuff in your bag" She always does.
Taylor rolls off my bed and grabs her bag, it has three pairs of clothes and her makeup essentials, and bolts to the bathroom across the hall from my room. She would be down in about 20 minutes.
I roll my eyes and head back down the stairs.
Drew is sprawled on the brown leather sectional couch while Steve has taken a seat on the matching small side couch that can only fit two people. Both of their eyes shoot up to me as I come down from the stairs.
"Nice Mills, you didn't fall this time" Steve jokes.
"Shut up" I mutter back, trying to hide the blush that worked its way to my face. "Did you guys wanna, like, watch a movie or something?" I ask trying to avoid explaining the earlier situation to Drew and his large, curious eyes that were studying me.
"Yeah, sure" Drew speaks up, forgetting about his curiosity. "Chase and I will pick out a couple and you can order that pizza now".
"Hey, I should probabl-" Steve starts
"Come on man, I need someone to help me not watch a stupid rom-com again. Taylor will be down in a minute and that's all she watches!" Drew begs.
"I- uh- okay," Steve says as he begins to get relax.
I turn on my heels and head towards the kitchen and reach for the phone to order pizza. I wasn't gonna eat any so two should be plenty.
"Come on!! '27 Dresses' is so funny and cute!" Taylor pleads with her fresh, natural-looking makeup, and comfy, yet stylish clothes.
"No, no, no, 'Deadpool' is funny, romance is not needed in every movie, Taylor" Drew says, becoming more argumentative.
"Guys, calm down!" I try to yell over them. I hear Steve chuckle a couple of times. "What?" I choke back a giggle; he has a contagious laugh.
"Nothing" Steve smiles at me.
Damn that dimple.
My knees began to wobble. "Well, what movie do you want to watch?" I ask him.
"Ya know, I am a sucker for 'Deadpool'" he nodes toward Drew and gives him a closed mouth smile.
I roll my eyes. "Sorry Taylor looks like 'Deadpool' it is"
"You didn't vote, Lec!" Taylor retorts.
"I don't get a vote, you guys are the guests," I say. I normally do vote, but I also don't normally have the hottest guy at school in my house.
