A tiring dive to newcastle called for a quick nap. You wake up in you're own bed, still feeling the jet lag, with Danny smiling down and waving at you.
"wakey wakey, we're here!",he cheerily whistles.
"How are you so energetic? I can barely move.",you ask giggling.
"I slept on British night time on the plane and I've just had a coffee but we'll get you one! Are you exited to be home?",he replies and follows with another question.
"Of course and about that..."You begin calling everyone in,"I know we've got a lot of time before your first show here so I thought we could all take a trip to my town. Plus my family still think I'm working so I'd love to surprise them."
"Yes that would be amazing!",squeals josh.
"When should we go",queries Sam.
"Well it only takes an hour by train or bus so we can go whenever everyone is ready and I warn you all it's nowhere near as beautiful as Michigan.",you state.

You all nod, ready to undertake your first on tour mission together. Separating out you get ready and finally meet each other outside the coach. Leading the way you act as a tour guide for the boys pointing out all the highlights on the way too the station.
In what seemed like no time at all, the train has reached the stop before yours.
"How long has it been since you've seen your family",enquires josh.
"About 4 year! I haven't really had time to think about coming home so I'm glad I have the chance", you shockingly announce.
"When did you move over to the US,you can't have been old?",josh asks another question.
You reply and smile happy he is so interested,"I was just turning 19 so I was pretty young but I had to take the chance."
"How come you didn't tell your family you've left work to come with us?",Jake questions as though it has been playing on his mind.
Nervous to say why, beginning to tremble but eventually you blurt our,"Well my family never really wanted me to become a journalist/media operator because they thought that it wouldn't go anywhere but when they realised it was going well for me they were so proud. I thought if I said I'd left and went on tour with you they would be disappointed that I was throwing away what I had but if I explain it face to face hopefully they'll understand..."
Speechless Jake eventually whispers"we'll do anything we can to help but surely they'll understand. You can make your own decisions you're a grown woman."

Finally arriving at your home town, you step off the train and begin to cry.Jake runs up and hugs you from behind, asking what's wrong and various other comforting phrases.Assuring him that it's just happy tears of being home, smiling at him, you grab your phone out of your pocket and ring your mum. You giddily declare that you're home, are at the train station and ask if she would come pick you up;she squeals yes down the phone and the boys laugh. Before she has chance to say good bye you shout 'come in the 7 seater I've got some surprises.'

Minutes later you see her car parked and you run out and hug her as she spots you jumping out.
"I'm so happy to see you, how come you didn't tell me you were coming?",she questions through the tears.
"Because I wanted to surprise you",you whisper getting into the passenger seat,"look."
By now danny, jake, sam and josh are pilling into the back seats, smiling at your mum.
"What's greta van fleet doing in the back of my car",she laughs and says hi to them all.
"Well I interviewed them at work and we got talking,so now I'm on tour with them to write a book",you say in a persuasive tone.
Her eyebrows begin to furrow and a wave of anxiousness comes over her as she begins to fire questions,"But what about your job,how are you going to support yourself,do you plan on going back to the US?"
Interrupting before she gets worked up, you ensure,"everything will be fine mum I've sorted it and I'll explain later."
Jake chips in,"and we're all here to support her whatever she needs!"

She smiles at the boys and thanks them for what they have done for you. She spots you and jake smiling at each other and thankfully doesn't say a word. She starts up the car and drives down the road.
"Your 15 year old self would be pretty chuffed about this",she laughs at you and the boys laugh too.
Secretly you hope your 15 year old self was right about everything.
