Church bells chime jovially as your eyes crack open after your room seems to become increasingly brighter. You roll over to face your windows to see Jake stood proudly pulling back the curtains."would you believe i'm awake before you",he whispers, smiling incessantly at you and your bed head.
Reaching for your alarm clock, taking a few moments for your eyes to adjust, you're shocked to see the time. Eventually replying with a croaky voice,"Jake its 6:15am, why are you up so early!"
"I've been up since 5am, I've still got jet lag, i couldn't get back to sleep, he whimpers feeling sorry for himself.
"well come back to bed, it might be the only time we'll get to ourselves for a while", you say glittering your eyes but it didn't take much persuasion.
He climbs into the bed and throws his arms around you. Together, for the next hour, you curl up under his wing and lay as one enjoying the time you have alone. You notice some much about him in this time of serenity; like how his eyebrows perfectly flow in one direction, how his eyelids are a darker olive tone compared to his glowing skin and how he protects you even though he may not notice it.
Its 8am and everyone is gathered in the kitchen for breakfast. Josh, possibly expecting a mimosa, looks highly unsatisfied with his cup of tea- you and Sam giggle over this. You look out into your kitchen at your whole new life and how its evolved. Your parents, best friends and boyfriend all stood in the same room all sharing the same interest of you! It may not have been long since you met, little over a month, but you've never felt closer to a group of people in your life. They've welcomed you into their lives, knowing little about you, treating you like family. You pinch your arm like its all a dream but its not; you're living your life the best way you could and you're grateful.
"we'll have to leave soon if we want to look around Newcastle before your show", you begin."I know the best vintage shop!"
"yes that's great, we didn't have the chance to look round last time we were here", Danny comments.
"I cant believe you have to leave so soon but I'm glad you did come", your mum begins to cry.
"awe mum its okay we'll be back soon, I promise", you respond comfortingly.
"don't worry about me, enjoy this experience and don't forget to send me copy of your book once its published?", she pleads.
"of course i will, you'll be the first to get one", you chirp as you hug your mum and dad in a loving embrace.
An hour later you and the boys have been dropped off at the train station and are saying bye to your parents. Distracted by a conversation with Danny, Sam and Josh, you notice Jake chatting to your parents. After the 100th hug and goodbye to your mum, you skip away before you all miss the train. Hopping on you stumble to your seats and within minutes of resting your head on Jakes shoulder, you're fast asleep...
After a refreshing train journey and a quick tour of Newcastle shops, you end up walking to a quaint restaurant in the spring time drizzle.
On entering someone notice the boys immediately, they skip over giddily, asking for an autograph. Polite as always, the boys accept and chat with the fan.Eventually you sit down in a booth and order your meals. Jake squishes up next to you, both sat opposite Danny, Sam and Josh, he places his icy cold hand between your thighs and you shiver and laugh at him discretely. After a few aimless conversations, as you are all so drained from the long day, Jake squeezes your hand as if to say it's the right time to tell the boys.
Without hesitation after your willing glance, he blurts out,"yeahhhh so me and *your name* are together..." You face and smile at Jake, then too the boys.
Danny laughs, "do you two think we're blind! You're all over each other."
"This is just as a clarification for all of you then", you chuckle.
"well I'm speaking on behalf of all of us that we are very happy for you two!", josh happily chirps as he sparkles his eyes in delight at you.
"yes we really are and at least it's brightened up the dreary day", states Sam.
You all stare out through the rain drop lined window at the 02 academy, where the first European show of this tour will happen. Even though the skies are a deep grey and the April showers are pouring, you all grin looking outside then at each other as though its was a glowing summers day. You talk and laugh away until your food arrives and your mouths are so full words cant even try to escape out.
It's 7 o'clock and the bands newest support is on stage warming up the radiating crowd. Standing at the side of the stage with the rest of the boys, waiting to go on, you and Josh begin to talk.
"Do you still get nervous before your shows?", you question.
"Of course, where would the fun be if I didn't? I've always loved the run of adrenaline before each show, it's one of the best things about doing it", he responds.
"what are your favourite things then?", you follow up.
"The crowd. If the crowds connected with you the atmosphere is right, everything is right.", Josh happily replies.
"This reminds me of the interview, me asking all these questions." You begin, "I'm so happy you brought me with you, treating me like we're family but I do have one more question, why did you let me come?"
"You're on in 2 minutes!", shouts a voice from behind.
"Because we knew you were special and were just what we needed to complete Greta..." He whispers as he's tapped on the shoulder by Danny to get ready.
Already glowing with joy, Jake hugs you from behind, spins you around to face him and kisses you quickly. Finally shouting with a smirk on his face, "enjoy!"
You know you will...
Screams and whistles shoot up too the top of the high ceilings as the boys walk on. Just like a giddy teenage you jump and cheer; Sammy catches you out of the corner of his eye and laughs. Josh talks to the crowd while Jake, Sam and Danny settle themselves. Danny taps in the boys and Jake begins to play the intro to highway tune. Lights are flashing, the whole crowd has gone wild and you're just where you want to be...
