*Your P.O.V*
I woke up the next morning feeling nauseous.
My head hurt and I felt sore all over, like I had been hit by a truck.
Rubbing my head, I sat up on my bed and looked around the hospital room. There was nobody there. I could hear people outside, bustling about their daily work life. Helping others in the hospital. So I wasn't tripping out this time.
After a moment, I remembered Smiley, and how he was there in the middle of the night.

"I can"t just, forget him..." I said to myself. I clasped my hands together, and looked out the window. Sighing, I noticed there was a bouquet of roses on the window seal. Confused, I climbed out of the bed, even if I wasn't supposed to, and walked over to the window.

They were fresh, and their smell filled the room. I inhaled deeply, taking it all in, and I noticed a little card tied to the vase. I untied the string, and pulled the card off. Opening it, I pulled out a small piece of paper.

"Y/N, if you're reading this, you're obviously alive. Congrats! I hope we get to meet again, and maybe not because you're trying to kill me." -Zoe

I put the note back in the envelope and climbed back into bed, shoving it under my pillow before any of the nurses came in to check on me.

Just as I pulled the blankets up, there was a knock, and Carol peeped in.

"Good morning!" she exclaimed, waltzing into my room.

I chuckled nervously.

"Good Morning Carol.." I returned, acting like I just had woken up.

"How did you sleep?" She asked, pulling up a chair and sitting next to me.

"It was good. Best sleep I've had for as long as I can remember.." I said sarcastically. She laughed, and took a sip of the coffee she had brought in.

"I completely understand. Hospital beds aren't exactly meant to get beauty sleep on, am I right?" she snorted, sipping her coffee again.

I smiled weakly in return.

"Yeah, I just want to go home.." I replied. She sat her coffee down, and looked over at the roses.

"Oh?" she spat. "Who are those from?" She stood and walked over to the window.

"They smell wonderful!" she looked back at me curiously, and I shrugged in response.

"They were just there. Is there a note?" I asked, knowing there was not.

She examined the vase, and around the roses.

"Not that I can see.." She looked more. "No, there's not..."

She turned to me and shrugged.

"That's kinda creepy..." she folded her arms and leaned against the wall.

"Who do think would've brought them?"

I shrugged again.

"No clue..." I replied.

"Hmm... Oh well. Maybe it was a nurse or something..." She returned to her seat, and picked up the coffee cup.

"When will I get to meet your husband?" I asked her, breaking the silence.

"Oh, well he's been nervous, and he feels bad that he didn't do more to see about you before he called for an ambulance. He's incredibly shy, and he gets nervous around too many women as well, you see.." She said with pride, sipping the coffee more.

I nodded my head, and looked down at my lap, thinking about the note and what Smiley had said.

Was that real? If Zoe was, then it must have been. But, maybe it wasn't.. Did he actually come to me last night?

I pondered this for a while, before Carol cleared her throat, catching my attention.

"Well, I best be off." She stood, straightening out her coat. "I heard a rumor you were getting out today..." She said in a sing-songy voice, while waving her hand up and down at me.

"Really?" I replied, excitedly.

"Shhhh!" she hushed me immediately. "Just a rumor. I'll see you later." She giggled and opened the door.

"Bye." I murmured, waving softly.

She waved back, and closed the door behind her, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
