Lizette's POV

My phone buzzed on the bedside table next to my vanity table, and I picked it up, still brushing my long blonde tresses with my silver backed brush. Clicking the green icon on the screen and setting it on speaker, I lay the phone back on the table. "Hey, this is Lizette Fray, how can I help you?"

"Lizette! We need you at the Institute! Somethings happened, come as quick as you can, Jace's in trouble with the Clave!"

I dropped my hair brush and snatched up my phone. "Clary?! What, what happened? I'll come as fast as I can, I need to get dressed then I'll be right over!"

"I don't know!" Clary wailed. "I'm still pretty new to all of this, I was hoping you'd know, it sounds bad, they're talking about taking him to the Silent City." I dropped my phone in surprise. Taking Jace to the Silent City?

"Stall for me, make sure they don't leave the Institute! I might be able to help..." I shouted into the phone as I threw on a black crop top and ripped denim jeans before snatching up my phone and hurrying out the door. As I ran out the front door I inked an invisibility rune on my forearm and sped through the streets undetected.

Bursting through the front doors of the Institute I ran head first into a girl I had never seen before. "Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry! I'm such a klutz!" I cried, as I stood up and pulled up the other girl, studying her carefully and memorizing every detail. She had caramel colored hair that reached to just below her shoulders, bright green eyes and fair skin. She smiled ruefully down at her skirt, which had a huge tear in it as a result of my high heeled black boots catching in it.

"It's alright. You're Lizette, right? Lizette Fairchild." I nodded, wondering how she knew. "I'm Grace Lightwood, Alec, Max and Isabelle's sister, I just got back from my travel year in Mexico. Clary told me you would be coming so I came to show you where everyone is." I smiled and offered her my hand.

"Nice to meet you Grace, would you mind showing me where they are then, I heard it's urgent." Grace shook my hand and nodded, leading me towards the Library.

"At the moment I'm not quite sure whats happening, or what Jace did, but it must be bad, the Inquisitor's come from Idris-"

"WHAT!?" I shrieked, stopping dead. Grace turned to look at her, confused. "CLARY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE INQUISITOR!" I took off down the hall, heading for the Library with Grace hurrying behind me.

Hello everyone! It's Lizette, I'm back with a new chapter, and I'd like to dedicate this chapter to Grace Marshal  because she messaged me and gave me the inspiration to write this chapter, which I've been putting off because I didn't know how to write it. She slips into my story as the new character, Grace Lightwood, and I want to thank her once again for getting me to write and publish this new chapter finally. (This is the footnote in the original story but Grace really helped me get back on track with my writing after months so I feel I need to mention her!)
