Chapter Two

You wake up to a knock on your door. It was a Saturday and you were still tired from the night before. You realise that your parents aren't home so you have to quickly get changed into jeans and a white T-shirt that says "When you're sad, all you need is a cupcake". You run down stairs and open the door.

Stood there was 2 men. One was around 3 years older and taller. They were both tall and had their hair slicked back with grease. The taller man pushed past you and walked into your home. The other boy walked behind him, he seemed more timid.

"So, what did your little friends do with my little brother and his friend?" The older man says.
You're confused and scared.
"Sorry?" You say, the confusion clear in your voice.
He pushed you up against that wall, grabbing hold of your collar.
"Look, that's my little brother we're talking about here and he's my responsibility so I won't let no socs take him while he's under my care." He glares into your eyes.
"Darry, loosen up, she's scared", the younger boy says. He seems shy and soft. He made eye contact with you.
"I'm sorry I really have no idea what you're talking about." You say.
"Who were you with last night?", Darry growls.
"Ermmmm 2 boys, Johnny anddddd... Pony something".
Darry pulls out a knife and holds it to your throat. You start to panic and cry.
"Where did they go? Did your little soc friends take them?" He spits, angrily.
"I'm not a soc! They walked me home and then left."

Darry steps back for a moment.
"Sodapop take her other arm" he says.
Both of the men grab you, pulling you out of your house. You managed to kick the door shut on your way out. You're scared for your life. They push you into a car, the walk around and get into the front 2 seats. Darry starts to drive.

"I dont think she's lying" Sodapop says quietly
"I don't think she's lying," Darry mocks him in a high pitched voice, "of course she is. She's one of them. You can't be like that Sodapop, you're gonna get killed for being dumb. Wise'n up, kid brother".
You stay quiet, not wanting to anger him anymore.
After around 10 minutes, the car stops, you were in the other side of town. Darry opens your door and drags you into a small house.
He took you into a medium sized room, probably the living room and made you sit down on a worn out couch.

Sodapop and Darry called out and then 2 other boys walked into the room.
One was shirtless and had rippling abs that you couldn't help but look at for a second. The other was wearing a Micky mouse T-shirt, it amused you.
They both had greasy hair and looked drunk, or just energetic.

"Well well well what do we have here?" The shirtless boy says.
"Looks like we got us a soc toy" the Micky mouse tshirted one said.
"Shut up you two, she was with Ponyboy and Johnny before they went missing". Darry says.

You look down at the floor. You then looked up and caught Sodapops eye. He looked apologetic.

"So soc girl, what did your friends do to my little brother?" Darry says.
"I already told you, I'm not a soc, I was just with them for one night, they left me so Ponyboy and Johnny were kind enough to walk me home."
"Where did they go after?" Sodapop asks.
"I'm not sure, they said that they were just going to walk home".
"If you're not a soc, why were you with them?" Darry asks, thinking that you're lying.
"Because I just moved here and I made friends with Cherry Valance". You say.
"Cherry, did she leave with Bob?" Darry asks, his voice suddenly rising and he seemed like he had just realised something.
"Yeah, they left without me".
"Soda come with me, we need to find Cherry. Twobit and Steve stay here and babysit her," Darry says while running towards the door. Him and Soda leave.

You're left, sat there. The other two boys sit down either side of you.
"What's your name, princess?" The one with the Micky mouse T-shirt says, while putting his arm around you.
"Y/n, how about you?" You say, trying not to sound nervous.
"My names Twobit and that's Steve". He says, nodding towards to shirtless boy.
"Aye Steve", he then says "put a shirt on, your abs are distracting her".
He smiled at you then walked out of the room.
You feel slightly saddened that you didn't get to look at them anymore, but you were extremely embarrassed. You blushed.

"Aye sweetheart, why were you with that soc?" Twobit asks.
"Oh I met Cherry at school, she's my only friend at the moment", you say.
"I didn't mean Cherry, I meant Bob, I saw you getting out of his car at the drive in", he says.
You hear Steve shout "STALKER", from the other room.
"IM A STALKER? YOURE THE ONE LISTENING TO OUR CONVERSATIONS", Twobit shouts back.
Steve then comes running in, now wearing a white T-shirt and grabs Twobits head. They both fall onto the floor and are wrestling for a good 5 minutes. That will until the phone rang.

Steve got up quickly to answer it. "It's Steve" you hear him say. He's then quiet for around 2 minutes straight. You and Twobit are sat there, tense.
"Wait, you're with them?" Steve says. You make eye contact with Twobit.
"Okay I'll tell Darry when he's back", Steve then hangs up. He turns to you two. "Dallas is with them, they're both alive but Johnnys going to be arrested for murder if they come back. Your heart drops.

"Murder?" You say, startled.
"You don't know?" Twobit replies. "Johnny killed Bob".
You didn't know what to say.

"Dallas said that Pony says that Bob was trying to drown him in the fountain so Johnny stabbed him with a switchblade, smart really", Steve says. You realise he situation you're in. You suddenly start crying and standing up. You go to walk out but Steve and Twobit both grab you.

"Sorry but you're not going anywhere, little lady." Twobit says.
"B-b-but my parents..."
"You can tell them that you were out with Cherry when you get home. Darry will be back soon". He replies, trying to calm you down.

You sit back down, your eyes felt tired. You're sleepy. You start to drift off to sleep on the couch. It was comfy, you were stressed. All you could do to get away was, well, to enter dreamland.
