Chapter 15 Michael’s P.O.V.

Tonight was prom and honestly I didn’t want to go. If Sam hadn’t spent a fortune on her dress I would convince her not to. But for her I will dress up and get her corsage, walk across the street and let her mom take thousands of pictures of me and her together.

I threw on my tux and my black tie. I hate ties. I can’t ever figure out how to tie them. After a few times of tying it, then untying, retying it, and even throwing it across the room a couple times, I finally got it. Stupid thing.

I stopped at the fridge to get her corsage and headed across the street before my mom saw me. She’d be over at Sam’s house anyways to take a lot of pictures. I was trying decide if I should just walk on in or knock. But her mom answered the door deciding for me.

“Hello Michael. You look very handsome.” She smiled at me. She’s warmed up to me over time and isn’t always giving me dirty looks.

“Thank you ma’am. Is Sam ready?”

“She’ll be down in a second. Come in. Have a seat.”

“NO! No sitting! I’m coming! We’re going to be late for our reservations!” Sam yelled from her bedroom. I laughed to myself. “Don’t laugh!”

“Sorry babe! I’ll wait right here at the end of the steps for you!” I yelled to her. A few moments later she appeared at the top of the stairs and honestly she looked breathtaking. Literally took my breath away. She was so beautiful. Her dress fit nicely on her and her hair was pulled up showing her face and her makeup showed off her eyes. I just… I am so in love her. Head over heels. I love her and I just want to scream it to the world and whisper it in her ears a thousand times. But I can’t because we’ve only been dating a month and she would find me clingy if I did, even though I’ve loved her all my life.

“Stop staring at me.” She blushed.

“I can’t help it. You’re so beautiful.” She turned even redder.

“Thanks.” She mumbled. It’s hard to believe but this is the first time I’ve ever seen her dressed up this much. Usually it’s sweats and jeans or something, but this, this is wow.

“C’mon guys!” Her mom yelled, “Time for pictures!”

We both groaned. Pictures sucked.  My mom came over and they both made us pose and took lots of pictures. Then Luke, Calum, Ashton, Linzie, Shaina, and Vanessa came over to take even more pictures.

Pictures came and went then it was time for dinner. I took her to a nice fancy restraint where she only ordered a salad because ‘she didn’t want to get any stains on her dress’. I made her eat part of my chicken parmesan.

“Are you alright?” She asked as we finished our meal. “You’ve been very quiet all night.”

“Just taking your beauty in babe.” I replied.
