Chapter 13 Michael’s P.O.V.
“Hey mom?” I said sitting down beside her on the couch.
“Yeah?” She asked looking up from her magazine to look at me.
“Uh… I have something really important to ask you.”
“What is it?”
“The uh guys and I were offered a chance to perform as a band…”
“That’s great! Where at?”
“That’s the uh thing… We’d be going a lot of places. Kind of like touring…” She gave me a confused look. “You see, this guy, from One Direction, you know of them right?” She nodded. “Well this guy, Louis, he saw some of our videos on YouTube and he called Luke. He called Luke personally and well you see he wants our band to tour with them on their next tour coming up.”
“No.” She answered looking back down at her magazine.
“No?! Mom you can’t say no to this opportunity! We get tour with one of the biggest boy bands and perform in front of millions! And we’ll get paid doing it!” I told her.
“My answer is no. You have school and-“
“That’s the thing! It’s not till a week after school ends! I’d have a few more weeks to spend with you and everyone else! Then I’ll be gone for a few months! C’mon mom! You won’t miss me that much!”
She sighed and sat silent for a few moments. “Alright. You can go. But only if you promise to call me everyday twice a day.”
“Really?! Thank you so much mom!” I yelled hugging her and turning to walk out the door to tell the others.
“Michael,” She called, I turned back “What’d Sam say?”
My smile fell slightly. “I haven’t told her yet…”
“Luke’s mom is the only one who hasn’t said yes yet.” Calum said as we all gathered in my garage.
“Why?” I asked.
“She says I’m too young and naïve. Also that there won’t be any actual adults there.” Luke replied.
“What if all our moms meet One Direction and the rest of their crew? Then they can all have one big discussion” Ashton suggested.
We called up Louis and told him about Ashton’s idea.
