It was the next morning and I got up early to take a shower and care for my stupid bullet wound before making everyone breakfast. I never made breakfast so that was saying a lot.
Sometime around like 2AM, Kalel found her way into my room and in my bed. Obviously I wasn't going to tell her to leave cause I mean hey, why not let a beautiful girl sleep next to you. Despite all of my unholy thoughts that ran through my mind, I let her snuggle up into my side with her head on my chest. We managed to stay in that position throughout the whole night. Having her next to me made me feel at ease. Although I was the one causing her all this trouble, she still stayed by my side literally.
9:30 read on the microwave and I was just about done with cooking the pancakes when I felt a pair of hands cover my eyes. "Hmm, let me guess," I tapped my chin. "Casper?" I heard that cute giggle that I really started to like.
"Nope."
"Damn, who is it?" I'm turned around and the hands dropped from my eyes, letting me see a beautiful pair of blue ones. "Well," I smiled widely. "Good morning, babe."
Kalel smiled back and rested her arms around my shoulders. All this cute lovey stuff was different since I hadn't been like that with anyone since...yeah. "Morning, Justin."
"Are you hungry?" I placed my hands on her hips and lightly squeezed, making a short giggle come out of her mouth.
"Starving!" she dropped her arms from around me and I turned back to the stove to flip the last pancake in the pan. I turned the stove off and scooped the pancake onto a plate, already filled with scrambled eggs and bacon. "For you."
She took the plate from my hand and kissed me on the cheek, "Thank you." I watched her walk over to the counter and sit down.
"Oh," I said before grabbing a knife and fork from the drawer and walking over to her, placing them next to her plate. "You'll need these," I whispered into her ear then pressed my lips to what I think to be her cheek, but turn out being her lips.
"Oops. Sorry," she tucked a stray curl behind her ear.
"What for?" I asked dumbly, even though I knew exactly why she said it. She didn't need to be sorry for kissing me. I'd kiss her all day long if I could.
"Accidentally kissing you."
I tilted her chin up and bend down to press my lips against hers for a few seconds before pulling back, "Apology accepted." Her cheeks turned a deep crimson. "Aw, are you blushing?" She quickly shook her head then her stomach growled extremely loud. "Woah there, tiger."
She nervously laughed, "I told you, I'm hungry."
I poked her cheek with the tip of my index finger, "Then eat."
"I don't want to be rude and eat without everyone else."
"I'll go wake everyone right now," I said as I walked to the stairs, taking the steps two at a time.
I stopped at Derek's room and his door was cracked open like always. Pushing it open with the palm of my hand, I felt along the wall with my other hand and turned on the lights. I walked over to him in his bed and pulled the sheets from his body.
"What the hell," he groaned, feeling for the sheets.
"Wake your ass up. I made breakfast."
"Is it so hard for you to be a decent human being?"
"Be glad that I woke you up at all," I headed to the door. "Kalel's already downstairs waiting so hurry up." I left his door wide open and walked down the hall to the guest room where Kalel's dad was staying.
