Zoey returned to the abandoned warehouse hoping for Ora Gloon to make an appearance. Her heart pounded, and as much as she wanted to know the truth, in the back of her mind she also didn't want Ora to appear so she wouldn't have to face her. But she knew that without Aria and Kai, she wasn't nothing. And she hoped that by this way she could prove that to herself. Hopefully.

Believe it or not, the area around the outside of the warehouse seemed less threatening during the day than late at night. Yet it was still just as quiet and a bit creepy. Taking a deep breath, Zoey told herself to calm down. She told herself not to worry about something that hasn't happened yet.

The sound of footsteps pounding on the dirt from around the corner caught her off guard in mid thought, alarming her. She didn't feel ready to stand up to the ruthless bounty hunter, which caused her to panic. "What are you doing here?" A voice said. Zoey turned around to see Kai coming out from around the corner, setting off a sense of relief. She opened up her arms to hug him. "Oh Kai, I'm so glad to see you. I've missed you—"

"Yeah, well I haven't felt the same way," he snarled, turning down the hug. Zoey's arms fell back to her side as she frowned. "What's wrong?"

"I'll tell you what's wrong. I can't believe you would try to go behind my back like that. What's wrong with you?"

Zoey couldn't believe what she was hearing. "What do you mean?"

He glared at her. "Oh, I think you know exactly what I mean."

She felt like she was being punched. "I don't understand. What's wrong? Is it Ora? Did she do something to make you say all this?"

"You can't blame everything on her. At least she'd never stab you in the back." His eyes suddenly flashed red for a very brief moment. Seeming a bit panicked, he flew behind the wall.

"Wait a minute, get back here," Zoey followed. She put her hands on her hips. "You're not really Kai, are you?"

"Of course, I am you fool," he clasped one hand over his mouth as his voice changed to become a little higher pitched.

"Oh really," Zoey peered down to the darts in his pocket. "Then how come you have so many weapons on you?"

He didn't answer. Instead he dashed over, leading Zoey on a chase. Just as her ankle collided with a rock causing her to trip, she witnessed Kai's form shift to that of Ora Gloon's in a blink of an eye. Shapeshifter. That's right. Ora is a shapeshifter.

She had felt so incredibly stupid to have forgotten that. Yet at the same time she was relieved that Kai hadn't really said all that. Having lost all the blood flow in her head, she tried to get a grasp on her balance as she stood up and looked around. Ora was nowhere in sight.

After wandering around for a while, Tom grew frightened. This area seemed very different, not like the one back home. In fact, this didn't seem like Bangor at all. There are no jungles in Bangor. And there certainly are no war troops. If this was all real, and somehow, he had ended up in Vietnam, he knew he had to make a quick escape before it was too late. The people here were no nonsense. They meant business. There was definitely no way they would let a loose kid wander around.

As the small town from a distance began to grow bigger, Tom kept a close eye on his surroundings, making sure no one saw him. How'd he even end up here in the first place? He was starting to believe that the magic Aria showed him had been real after all.

"May I interest you in any handmade silk or pots today sir?" The voice of a shopkeeper made Tom realize that he had approached town a little sooner than he expected. Caught off guard, he had been too deep in his thoughts to know what to say. "I'm alright. Thanks."
