The girl fumbled through the burgundy pouch she had brought with her as the ship blasted over into the deep, dark clutches of space. She held her breath as it made its way through the warp into a different solar system; the one where time and life existed, as well as Earth itself. After feeling her way around in the pouch for a few seconds, she ever so carefully slipped out the heavy book known as The Comet. She flipped it open to the page she had bookmarked for as long as she could remember now.

She placed her index finger on the sentence she had underlined so long ago. Once they've served their purpose, stars die to form a new planet. Her plan was after her wish to live on Earth was granted, was to create a new planet in the aftermath; one where C-57 could rest peacefully on. She couldn't think of anyone else who deserved that opportunity more than him. He had been her only friend on the space station. And for that, she owed him everything.

The ship took a turn towards the north, approaching closer and closer to this sacred star with each passing moment. She could hardly contain her excitement. Finally, she was just moments away from living the life she always wanted. The one that she never knew existed beyond her dreams.... until now.

Seeing all these stars surround her was nothing like simply looking at them through a window back at the space station. She actually felt immersed in them; like she was a part of their world.

The deeper the ship reached into space, the colder and darker it became. She wondered if maybe she had taken a wrong turn, as the area wasn't at all what she expected it to be. She pulled the map out of her pouch and lightly dusted it off, tracing the path of the ship. According to the map itself, where she was going was correct.

Despite having a slightly bad feeling about this, she continued to proceed farther. Her head bobbled back and forth as she ever so desperately searched for the star. A few miles later, her face lit up as she came face to face with the brightest star she had ever seen. It glowed a mysterious yet breath taking glow, one like she had never seen before. It almost seemed as if little sprinkles of sparkles also surrounded the star. It definitely had a unique appearance to it compared to the rest of the stars. It beamed so brightly that one could not be able to miss it.

"Here you are," she exclaimed, her face glowing as bright as the star itself. "My savior." Unaware that the ship was so light and little it could topple over if too much weight was put on it, she stood up and reached over to touch the star. The ship wobbled, causing her to unexpectedly fall back. She tried to stand up straight again, but the ship kept wobbling until she tripped over her pouch and fell off.

She closed her eyes knowing that because it isn't possible for her kind to die, she'd be alright. But she wasn't quite sure where she would end up. She just kept falling, like there was no end. No ground below. No place for her to land. Like a bottomless abyss.

Suddenly, flashing purple and blue lights off in the distance caught her eye. It approached closer and closer, until it was close enough that she could see the enraged face who was on the ship that the lights were connected to.

"You disobeyed me," the Captain boomed, face as red as a tomato. "You're forbidden to EVER leave the space station, and you know that." C-57 floated beside him, his expression reading, I tried. "Now, you will get on this ship and go back to the station and never leave it. And if you ever try anything ever again, I will pull the trigger. Got it?"

She hung her head down low with shame and embarrassment. "Yes sir." She unwillingly climbed into his ship, leaving both the star behind. She had been separated from both the map and the book and knew that they would remain lost in the deep clutches of space forever. Never to be seen again. And without them, she could never find the location of the star again. In that moment, it seemed as if all hope she had had been lost.
