Light years later, the girl and her befriended droid lived together on Earth in peace for several years, until one day the girl noticed a dark purple vortex that was opening up in the sky. The vortex began to suck everything in sight into it, and as much as she and the droid tried to hold on, they were sucked in as well.
They later found themselves in a new land, one with snow piled everywhere and frosted pine trees scattered across the hills. Off in the distance, at the very bottom of the hill, there was a quaint little kingdom that had been frozen in time. At the end of the pathway down in this kingdom, there laid an enormous castle with swirled purple turrets on top of silver brick. On the front of the castle, just above the gates, was an emblem of a flower with vines growing out of the center of it. The impressive structure looked like something out of the medieval times; even more so like straight out of a fairy tale.
Suddenly, something flashed out of the corner of the girl's eye. A cloaked figure dashed in front of them. "Stop," the girl said. "Who are you? Where are we?"
The figure turned to them, but their face couldn't be seen through their hood and the dark shadow around it. "Zerelelia," they said. "My new kingdom." She took off her hood to reveal raven black hair plunging out, skin as white as the snow below her, and a spiked crown with the same emblem that was on the castle on it. "I am the Twilight Princess. Your new leader. Bow down to me."
"You don't look like a leader," the girl said, studying her youthful appearance. "You're only a teenager. You're far too young to rule a new kingdom all by yourself."
The Twilight Princess's expression twisted. "'Too young'? Ha! This is my kingdom that I created. I can do whatever I want here."
"Then why suck innocent people into your vortex to be brought here?"
The princess's expression turned playful. "Because I need villagers," she giggled. "Duh."
The girl laughed as well. "So, you built this whole place by yourself? How?"
The princess raised her finger up to her lips as if to say shhh. She then opened up her palm and released a spiral of icy magic. "With magic, of course."
The girl's eyes grew. "Woah! How did you do that?"
"I was born with it."
"That's amazing! You must feel pretty special to have such a wonderful gift like that, huh?"
The princess's face fell. "Actually, not really. That's why I created this place. You see, back home, on Earth, I was the only one of my kind. No one understood how a regular human on Earth with a completely normal family could be born with magical powers. My magic is both a gift and a curse. It's so powerful that sometimes it can be hard to control, and therefore I've accidentally hurt so many people. I'll never forget seeing the fear on their faces. They're much safer without me." Her shoulders slumped.
The girl reached an arm over to place around her shoulders sympathetically. "Aww, I'm so sorry. I'm sure it was just a huge misunderstanding though—they'd never fear you! And I bet you'll gain full control over your powers in no time."
The princess was overwhelmed with her kindness, something she had never experienced towards her before. "Thanks. I wish that were true, but I'm afraid there is no hope for me. My powers have never been this out of control before. I fear they're getting worse."
The girl's face suddenly lit up. She had an idea. "What if I help you control them? That way you don't have to live up here all alone in fear."
The princess blushed. "Really? You'd do that—for me?"
The girl nodded. "Only if you give me the full tour of your castle," she laughed.
