end of the war

the next morning after the war I woke up in Sweet Peas bed and immediately checked my phone to make sure no new news came out about the Ghoulies. This just seems too unreal, like it was planned. Like they knew what they were signing up for. I sighed and got up and got ready for school and went out to the living room and made coffee. I really needed that. Jax was staying at Cheryl's after she kicked her mom out. I always felt bad for Cheryl, her life is so complex even though she's so rich. After a few minutes Sweet Pea got up. "Hey why are you dressed?" He asks and I look at him confused. "We have school Sweets." I say and he shakes his head. "Even though all the older Serpents are pissed the cops got involved we beat the Ghoulies, all this shit is over we can have fun Rory." He says and I smile. "So we are skipping?" I say and he nods. "So is Jughead, Toni, Fangs, Gianna and Jax." He says and I nod and smile. "By the way, you need a bathing suit, we are going to the quarry" He says enthusiastically and winks at me and goes in his room. I smile and then realize, I have no bathing suits, they are at my dads. I then dialed Gianna's number and she answered. "Hey what's up?" She asks. "Hey can I borrow one of your bathing suits?" I ask and she laughs and then coughs. I look confused and then wait for her to say something. "Um, Vicky you wouldn't fit in my bathing suits, maybe my bottoms but not my tops." She says and I immediately get defensive. "What? I'll fit just fine you don't have Kim K boobs you are probably a size bigger then me." I say and she sighs. "Fine but if yours falls off it's not my fault." She says and I laugh. "No shit. Bye thank you." "No thank you." She says and I sit on the couch waiting for Sweets to come out and he eventually comes out.
He has his swim suit on and has a t-shirt on. I smile and get up and kiss him. "Everyone's gonna meet is there." He says smiling and I nod and we get on his bike and we go to to the quarry eventually everyone comes and Jughead ended up bringing Betty. I changed behind a big rock and Gianna and Toni made sure no one was peeping. After I finished we all walked over. "So who's jumping first?" I say and Sweet Pea looks at Fangs and Fangs flashes him a smirk and they both run up to me and I scream as they pick me up and everyone was laughing. "Guys stop!" I scream hitting them in hopes they would let go but they didn't. They threw me in the quarry. As I crashed into the water screaming like a maniac I felt the cold water all over my body and I go to the bottom. I decided to play a trick on them. I come back up and I start flapping my arms and gasping. I hear someone jump in and I feel strong arms grab me. As I stop waving my arms I see Sweets. "Are you okay?!" He asks scared and I nod and then smirk and jump on his shoulder and make him go under and I hear everyone else laugh. I laugh too and then he pulls me under the water and I open my eyes and see him smiling under the water. I push him and he pulls me closer and we kiss underwater.
It was like a movie. I smile and swim back up and I feel all the others jump in too. I smile and we all mess around like teenagers. Like we should, not worrying about gangs, family drama, school or anything like that. We should be having fun. As it is almost the end of junior year we need moments like this. Moments we will remember for the rest of our lives. Moments where we all just let lose and have fun. But honestly I never thought I'd be so happy like I am now. I have my dream boy, a group of friends that I know will stick with me, and I have family, maybe not all are blood related but the Serpents are my family. And I know they will have my back with anything. And I know I will always have their back.
After awhile of us messing around we all went back to Sweets and changed and hung out. We all just hung out and joked around.
During these moments I realized that i need more of these moments.
