"we need to talk."

"did you see.." she nodded her head and closed the door behind her.

"so, why did he push you?" she asked. "um, he didn't push me, i tripped and um... he just shoved me playfully." i shrugged.

"mhm. so, why was he yelling? why was he acting aggressive? i mean, didn't you get that vibe when he-" "stop! he's just frustrated with work and stuff. we were just arguing because i was texting another guy and he got mad because we might like each other and yeah."

"might? i don't want you to date an abuser." "he's not an abuser! he was just mad. literally, your ex boyfriends did that and you're still cool with them." "that's different olivia, i'm worri-" "just leave."

i opened the door for her and pushed her out.

don't get me wrong, zion is not an abuser at all whatsoever. he was just mad. i mean, maybe i did trip...

luckily, diana didn't tell anyone.

it was the next day and my dad made me go get the mail.

i jogged to the mailbox, got the mail, and was planning on running back until my name got called. again.

"olivia!" "zion, what do you- oh, hey elom." "hey!" he jogged to me and we hugged.

"i haven't seen you in what feels like forever." he said when we pulled away.

"yeah, but i saw you like... two years ago."

"well two years is too long. i missed my babysitter who i also have a crush on." he ruffled my hair and i pushed him away.

"hey, come say hi to my mom and dad. and kékéli. and zion." he winked at me.

"no no no, it's okay. i mean, we're bound to see each other later so it's like-" "c'mon, zion can't stop talking about you anyways." he dragged me to the house against my will.

damn, i don't remember elom being THIS strong.

he managed to bring me into his living room and he called everyone.

"olivia!" they all screamed.

"olivia dear, i'm missed you like crazy." miss mandy hugged me. "you too miss mandy." "oh please, we've been over this, call me mandy." she pulled away smiling.

"livvy!" kékéli ran and hugged me. "kéké, i missed you!" i hugged her back.

"um, hi mr kuwonu." i awkwardly waved. zion's dad didn't like me very much and i had no idea. why. he just crossed his arms and stared at me without even saying a word.

"hi olivia..." zion spoke out. "hi..." i said, looking at the ground.

"oh, zion and olivia have some stuff to talk about." elom fake giggled and mandy pushed him.

"well, do you want to go to my room?" zion asked. "sure." i shrugged and we headed upstairs.

"so, i wanted to apologize. for everything." "zion, it's fine. i understand you were frustrated and you have a lot of stuff on your plate. but mark my words, if that happens again, i'll kick your ass." i pushed him and laughed.

"okay okay." he held up his hands.

i took a walk around his room. "same ol' same ol' eh?" i asked, looking at pictures of us when we were little and some from two years ago.

"yeah, so, i was thinking, to make it up to you, wanna go to the ice skating rink?" i turned and his hands were in his pocket.

"z, you know i can skate, so why not do something else?" "then whatever you want, c'mon, let me make it up to you." he slowly grabbed my hands.

"um, okay." "tomorrow?" "perfect." i smiled. i hesitated but i kissed him on the cheek and left.

man, what have i done?
