Januari POV

I was chatting with my friends when I lost track of time

Shit I'm gonna be late for Geometry

I ran pass a few students almost knocked down a teacher before I made it to class.

Before she closed the door I put my foot in the door.

"Well well miss Bryant nice of you to join us."

she said opening the door wider.

I went to take my seat then I seen that new kid talking to Gypsy I wasn't surprised, when one girl turns down a guy that's extremely attractive they always find their way to another.

I was trying my best not to look at him but he was just so fine. Nice long dreads, a cute smile, nice style I wish I never turned him down but I guess it's too late now.

I seen the way Gypsy was staring at me and rolling her eyes.

"Hey Miss piggy keep your eyes to yourself"

I kept my eyes on my paper and tried not to catch a case

Why must I let all these hurtful comments affect me?

After Geometry was over I seen Gypsy hand The cute dude a piece of folded paper then leave.

I picked up my work sheet and handed it into the class work bin. Then I went back to my desk grabbed my back pack. And walked home

Since Asia and Olivia were athletes they stayed after school For track.

While I was walking home there was a Orange car following me I looked back and seen it just sitting there

I picked up my pace a little bit and and the car did the same thing.

I started to lightly jog but I got tired so i just began to speed walk.

The car sped off and pulled over to the curb, the passenger side opened and it was the cute guy from class

"Damn you trying to avoid me?"

I stopped and my heart felt like it stopped.

"N-no, it's just that when your being followed your intentions are to run and not look back.

Wait what did that even make sense??

He approached me.

"Well the weather don't look to good I was wondering if you wanted a lift home?"

Say yes Jan say yes...

"Uh that's sweet of you but I think I'll walk, I could use the exercise"

As I walked passed him he stopped me.

"Listen here your not fat okay, your thick which means you eat good stop talking down on yourself one thing I hate is an insecure woman, now let me be a gentleman and take you home...please?"

What the hell...

"Fine!" I walked to his car and got in, he closed my door and jogged to the drivers side and got in.

The car ride was silent until he began talking about something.

"I'm a little hungry, wanna go out to eat?

I stared out the window and seen it was raining, I haven't ate anything since breakfast so I was pretty hungry but what the hell I look like eating in front of a complete stranger.

"Nah I'm okay I ate a big lunch at school"

I lied still staring out the window.

"Lunch was at 11:15, it's 3 now so I know you got to be starving?"

"Okay I'm kinda hungry."

He pulled up to checkers drive-thru and ordered the food

"Hi welcome to checkers what would you like to order?"

"I would like two big double checker burgers with cheese
One large fry, one small fry, a medium banana milkshake and a diet coke please."

"Okay that'll be $23.45"

We pulled up to the window and he pulled out his wallet and paid. I gave him a ten dollar bill to pay for my stuff but he ignored me.

"Nah shawty just keep it"

I put my money away and waited for the food I was scrolling thru my phone and seen that Mark texted me

Mark: Girl wya? You should have been home an hour ago.

Me: sorry with a friend

Mark: well hurry up cause these dirty clothes ain't gone wash themselves!!!

Me: lol OKAY I'll be home in twenty

Mark: Okay love chu boo

Me: love you too!!!

He handed me my food and I ate in silence

"So where you live at?"

He asked chowing down on his burger.

"I live in South Crest estates the address is 238 Eagle Crest lane"

He pulled up to my house and I turned to me with a smirk

"So now since we alone can I get your number?"

"Sure"

he gave me his phone and I put my number in and handed it back to him.

"So I guess I'll hit you up later on?"

I turned and gave him a smile

"Yes"
