Januari POV.

It's been almost two days since I heard from Mark, it's not like him to just up and disappear, I already called my dad and  He said he was on his way down, mom gets out of Rehab in a few days so dad told her about him missing. Cam and I are at the police station filing a missing persons report.

"Can you describe your brother miss?"

He's tall, light skin, light eyes, he has a shape up type hair style and he drives a Red Audi Q5. I watched as the man typed away on his computer, he handed me a stack of papers to sign to make sure I wasn't making a false report, I swear white people do too much. Cam and I sat down when all of a sudden a pretty black brown skin lady came running in.

"What can I do for you ma'am?"

The lady stated that her older adopted son went missing a few days ago and she just got out of Rehab and she was here also to make a report about it.

"He's light skin, he's ten and we adopted him not too long ago.

I didn't mean to be nosy but it sounded as if this lady was talking about Mark. Even though he was way past ten and was taller she must've been with him when he was younger cause the Mark I know is Much older and taller.

"Here come and take a seat in Detective Franklin's office and we will get back too you." The man motioning her to go in the back.

The lady looked at Cameron then at me, when we made eye  contact I instantly noticed the brown specks she had on her face, she had a hand full of gold rings and she had two gold necklaces. And my mom always wore gold. People down the block use to call her 'The Gold Lady'.

She gave me a genuine smile and headed towards the back. But the officer called her back and the name was awfully familiar.

Tamar Rochelle Bryant.

I hopped up and screamed out in disbelief.

"MOM!?"
