Two suspicious-looking figures suddenly creeped out of an alleyway on the right side of the street. The two men stepped out of the darkness and swiftly walked across the street. I immediately recognized them as our targets, so I shook Leo awake with my left hand and pointed to them with my right. "Those are our guys," I nearly exclaimed. Leo followed to where I was pointing and then nodded. His hand was about to turn the keys and ignite the car but I stopped him. "We need to be stealthy. Our orders were to eliminate them, so the minute they know we're here our cover will be blown."

"Alright, let's follow them," Leo said. He pressed a button to unlock the doors. Both of us hopped out of the car and began running after the two men. I pulled my black mask up over my nose to shield my identity. Leo did the same.

The two men ran down the never ending alleyway as Leo and I trailed behind them at a safe distance. My boots tapped softly on the black concrete below. The streets were covered in puddles that splashed onto my leather pants. It must have rained earlier today because the air still had that familiar scent.

Our targets turned a corner and dashed off onto a side road between tall buildings. All of the windows above were shut with the lights out.

Leo and I were right on their tails. We both turned into a large parking garage, but when we entered the building, the two men had suddenly multiplied into a group. The two of us stopped dead in our tracks and stared at the large group of men and women that began circling us in the nearly empty parking garage. Leo and I were now back to back with our fists held in the air. "I think they knew we were coming," Leo spoke up.

"No shit, genius!" I remarked.

"Is it too late to run back to the car?" Leo asked. He was trying hard not to laugh at his own antics. I gave him points for only cracking a smile.

"Probably," I replied.

"I was hoping it didn't have to come to this," Leo sighed. "Nose goes!" He dropped to his knees suddenly and pressed his index finger onto his nose.

My eyebrows furrowed as I glanced over my shoulder to look at him with a confused expression. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked, a little too harshly.

Leo looked at me and did a half shrug with his finger still on his nose. "Ya know," he trailed off.

I shook my head. Has he gone mad? "No.. I don't," I remarked.

"Well, I shouted, 'nose goes,' which—in this case—means you can take the first few guys on, while I wait a few minutes to prepare myself," Leo explained. I gave him an 'are you serious right now' look that he replied with a nod.
