Five hastily lifted the lid of the dumpster and pulled out a bulky briefcase. It was the same exact one the Handler had used when she sent me back in time.

Footsteps approached from behind the two of it. "Hey," Luther said, out of breath. "Where is everyone?"

We all glanced around the empty alleyway. "You're the first," Five remarked. He seemed unsurprised yet so disappointed in his other siblings.

"Hey! Hey!" Klaus shouted from the sidewalk. He ran down the all with open arms and a wide grin. "We made it!"

"What do you mean, 'we'?" Five asked him.

Klaus's body suddenly contorted in strange ways. He was shaking violently as he held onto himself. "Get out!" He declared. It was almost like he was having some kind of fight with himself. Suddenly, he turned around and held his stomach as he threw up. White chunks flew out onto the ground, making me cringe and turn away in disgust.

"I can't believe it," Luther breathed. "I mean, you're here!"

"We've got eight minutes left," Five stated.

Klaus was sprawled out on the ground now as he whimpered to himself, "I just had the strangest dream."

"Where are the others?" Five exclaimed. His patience was dwindling.

Luther slammed his fist down on the dumpster in anger. "We've got a minute left!"

"What's going on, guys?" Klaus whispered. His voice was hoarse. "Are we going somewhere?"

Five dropped the suitcase down the ground and began pacing. "It was a simple task," he remarked. "It was a simple task! All we had to do was be here! Didn't have to fight a giant sea monster, no! An army of mutants? NEIN!"

"I can't believe this," Luther huffed.

"It was handed to us on a silver platter!" Five exclaimed. His threw his hands up in the air in frustration.

I grabbed onto Five's shoulders and stopped his pacing. "Five, listen, I know you're angry, but what else did you expect?"

Five's eyes went wide. "Lexa, you're exactly right!" I nodded in agreement and dropped my hands from his shoulders, only for him to turn around and snap completely. "I SHOULDN'T HAVE EXPECTED ANYTHING FROM MY IDIOT SIBLINGS!"

My small smile instantly dropped and I face palmed. "That's not what I meant-"

"Could you two just moan a little softer?" Klaus pleaded. He sat up with his eyes closed. "My head is killing me!"

Five swaggered over to his brother and began scolding him, "Listen to me, you useless puke bag! We just blew our chance to save the world!" The briefcase on the ground began to click as it charged up. "Goddamn it!" Five scoffed. He picked up the case and tossed it into the air, where it teleported itself into the future. "We were that close. That close."
