School Crush {Sal x Reader}

It was obvious from the start.

You two had it bad for eachother.

What's crazy is neither of you knew.

What a coincidence.

The two of you are closed friends, and have known eachother since he started going to the school you go to.

It was almost like it was meant to be.

Sal has a tendency of staring at you all the time, while you stare at him when he is with Ash.
You just felt the need to tell him, but you never did, knowing that he liked Ash.

It hit you hard, most of the time, when she hugged him, or even kissed the cheek of his mask.

You just wish you would grab up the guts to say it.

Sal and the others, including you, we're sitting at the lunch table you all usually sit at.
It was bologna day, and ever since the incident, none of you has dared to even touch the meat.

"So, what's on our menu for jokes today?" Ashley asked, trying to brighten the mood.

The table was silent.

"Aw c'mon guys! We gotta fix this!" She said, making you slightly cringe up.
"Theres.. Really nothing to joke about.. Damn." Larry said. Sal, being in love and all, stares at you while you focused outside where it was pouring down rain.

You felt the need to look back, to only see Sal look away.

You could have sworn you saw his ears turn a light shade of red.

"Y/n, anything on the list of  'Brighting the mood'?" Larry asked, making you look over at him.

"We could talk about some people we may li-" You stopped yourself.
Larry knew what you were about to say, and slowly smirks.
He looks over at Sal, seeing that Sal knew too.

"May what?" Ash asked, having a slight smirk on her face as well.

You slowly stood up from your seat, extremely embarrassed.

"I-I'm gonna go to the bathroom- BYE!" You speedily walk off, causing a small scene at the table.

"You guys knew what they was gonna say right?" Todd asked, making both Larry and Ash smirk more.
They then look over at Sal, seeing that he was lost in thought.

"Hey Sally Face." Ash said, grabbing Sal's attention.
"Y-yeah?"
"When will you spill the beans?" Ash asked, making Sal confused.

"U-um.. What do you mean?" He asks.

"I mean, telling y/n that you love them!" She said as he sinks in his seat a bit.

"No n-no no, wh-why should I? They wouldn't like me back!" He said, trying to hide how embarrassed he was.
"Bro! You never know~" Larry said, making Sal turn his head straight to Larry.

"Larry not you too!" He said, sinking more and more into the seat.

"Well, if you won't, then they  will never be with you, and be with Trash- I mean Travis." Ash said, making Sal jolt up.

"N-No!" He said, making the group snicker.

"Then tell them!"

"H-how do you even know if I like them!" Sal asked having a smirk under his mask.

Todd, who was slowly entering the conversation, decided to pull something on Sal.

"Sal, Y/n is behind you."

"OH H-HEY Y/N-"

Sal turns to only see no body behind him.
Everyone at the table laughs, making him growl in embarrassment.

"That was good, I got to admit." Todd said, making Sal re- sink into his chair.

You walked back in, seeing the others with Sal. You noticed how he was pulling his pigtails, and sliding down the chair.

You slowly walked up behind him, seeing the others glance up at you, and begin to smirk.

"So you do like y/n?" Larry asked, making Sal sigh in defeat.
You were close enough to hear him, but not as close.

"Y-yeah.." Sal said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Ash looked up at you, mouthing
"Shhh listen"
You did, and stood there. Larry looked up at you for a small moment, and grins.
"Can you say it like you mean it, as in, no small answer?" Todd asked, making Larry grin more.
"Yeah, say it like you mean it too, we gotta here ya dude." Larry said, as You stood there, clueless on what your about to hear.

"I-I... I like y/n, no.. I love y/n! Their hair, their eyes, their smile, their jokes, their personality, their everything.."

You could of sworn that you're heart skipped a beat.

The crew smiles widely, looking up at you're now flustered face.

"Hey Sal.." Todd said, grabbing Sal's attention again.
"Yeah?"

"Look behind you."

Sal rolls his eyes.

"Yeah, like I'm gonna fall for that aga-"

"S-Sal?"

"Y-Y-Y/N?! HEY- UM-"

You blush, and looked down.

"Did you.. Mean all those things?" You asked, as he stared into your eyes. He nods.

"Every single one."

You then pulled him into a hug.

"I like, no I love you too Sally face!" You said, feeling him slowly hug back.

The group watches in awe, seeing that they accomplished something.
