We decided to spend a week at a lake Sam and Dean knew already. They spent some days there a few years ago. A little cabin was located near the clear surface of the water. Mountains were framing the landscape and a beautiful forest cut off every possible intrusion.
I let my glaze wander around the tops of the mountains and the misty treetops. Even though it was a little cooler here in the woods, it was still warm and I couldn't wait to run into the fresh water.
As we got in the little house, I scanned the room. It was a beautiful wooden cabin, decorated with simple old furniture, but it looked amazing. It suited the atmosphere perfectly.
"One of the bedrooms is mine!" Dean shouted, already running into one of those rooms. All in all there were 3 bedrooms, one already taken and the second one was soom claimed by the other Winchester.
"So .. who'll get the last one?" I asked, turning to Cas.
"Well, as I don't sleep, you and Ches may take the room," he shyly smiled at me.
"Thank you, Cas," I responded the smile and took my suitcase. It actually contained every piece of clothing I had. What a sad story.
"Thank you, Cas." Dean mocked me from the couch where he already sat down with a beer in his right hand. Of course.
"Shut up, Deanie." I rolled my eyes and brought my case into the last bedroom. It was a small one but I had my own bathroom and a beautiful view over the lake. The bed stood in the middle of the room, a very confy looking rug covered the wooden floor. A painted picture was hung onto the wall directly over the bed. It completed the room perfectly.
As I had packed my things in the wardrobe, I came back into the living room to find Dean still sitting on the couch and Sam standing in front of him but only in shorts. That was the first time I saw one of them without their shirts and I had to admit I liked the view. Castiel came into the room, his glaze wandered from me to Sam as his eyebrows narrowed, almost looking .. jealous?
I looked at the ground, as I remembered that Cas could read minds. But why would he be jealous?

As soon as we got outside, the sun came out and turned the dark surface into a beautiful blue. I looked back to the boys who had the same idea as me.
"Last one in water pays the pizza!" I shouted, as I already started running.
Sam and Dean dashed off and almost got me but I was the first one to reach the cool water. Sam was next and Dean was the last one to splash into the lake.
"You and your silly long legs. You really are a moose." Dean laughed and Sam pushed him under water.
"Cas was the last one, so he has to pay," Dean laughed. I turned around to see Cas standing at the beach, fully clothed.
"Cas, come on. Get your angel ass in here!" Dean laughed at him, Sam and me encouraging him to actually get in the water.
"But, I don't know how to .. uhm, I don't have shorts." He stuttered, looking to the ground. He tried not to look at me as I walked out of the water. I was really trying not to grin because I didn't want him to be embarrassed or something.
"Cas, come on. Get in. Just go in your underwear or something." I tried to convince him, almost begging. He avoided my glaze and sighed.
"Well .. but .. I don't know." What's wrong with him. But then, it hit me.
"You don't know how to swim, do you?" I whispered, turning my back to the boys who were fully in a fight of pushing each other under water. They were laughing loudly, calling each other Bitch and Jerk, just how they always do.
"Not really." He admitted shyly.
"Oh, Cas. Come on, that's nothing to be ashamed of. Also, we don't have to go that deep into the water that it's necessary to swim. Please, get in the water, it's amazing." I smiled encouraging and he finally nodded.
I already walked back into the water as Cas got out of his clothes. He still seemed a little nervous though which looked super sweet. He looked up and our eyes met, a shy smile laid on his face.

We spent the whoke day laying on the beach, go swimming and talking about everything. Sam and Dean told many stories about their childhood and of course their trip here. They went here as their father was on a hunting trip. It was only a night they spend here but they loved it. After they finished their stories, it was my turn.
"So, (Y/N), tell us something about you. Have you ever been to a beach?" Sam asked me as he took a sip of his beer.
So I told them about the trip I took with my Dad and everything I loved remembering about it. I still had a chain my Dad got me this day which I haven't taken off since then.

It was a long evening, with much beer and also some late night swimming sessions. We listened to music all night long, and I think, after an amount of beer, we even danced around the fire, especially Dean. I loved every second of this evening, the laughing, the drinking, the sometimes not so deep conversation. Those guys were really amazing people. Some people I really began to love.
