We pulled into the school and Liam parked the car. I had the biggest smile on my face because Liam didn’t care about my past he was happy that I had shared that with him. Then he kissed me, the kiss ignited a fire in me and all I wanted to do was kiss him some more.

I looked down at our entwined hands and couldn’t help but let the smile on my face grow wider. We weren’t dating but hopefully, eventually we would.

“Listen Kendall about the kiss.” Shit. That was all that I could think. He was gonna hurt me just like Damon had hurt me when he said he regretted us.

“Yes?” I tried to hide the nervousness in my voice.

“There’s something you should know. I don’t regret the kiss at all.” He let go of my hand, “The thing is I have a girlfriend and I really do like her. Then again I’m starting to like you. So I need to sort some things out before anything happens between us.” He started to get out of the car.

“How about this, forget about the kiss. We’re just friends, don’t break up with your girlfriend. I won’t bother you. I’ll see you after school.” I jumped out of his car and ran into the school.

I had no idea where the front office was so I was looking around when this totally gorgeous guy came out of nowhere. He had deep blue eyes, blond hair and man was he in shape. His white v-neck hugged his perfectly toned body. I wanted to wrap my arms around him and –

I shook those thoughts from my head before they went a little too far. He was smiling at me and it was a mesmerizing smile.

“Hi.” I said as he leaned against the wall next to me.

“You’re the new girl right? Kendall? Damn, might I be the first to say you just might be the sexiest thing to walk these halls. Well besides me that is.” I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face as he winked at me.

“Cocky aren’t we? Well since you know my name, can I have the pleasure to know yours?” I looked at him as I realized I started to flirt back with him.

He put his hands on my waist and leaned his head into the crock of my neck. I could feel his breath on my skin and it made goosebumps appear all over my body. I couldn’t help but shiver.

“It’s Asher.” He said and backed away.

A smirk appeared at his lips and I couldn’t help but blush, “Well Asher, can you help me find the main office? I need to get my schedule.”

“Sure thing babe.” He said as he grabbed my waist and led me down the hallway.

Two minutes later we were at the front office, “Here ya go, I’ll be waiting out here for you.”

Before I walked in I couldn’t help but let out a small giggle. What the hell were the guys here doing to me?

“Hello may I help you?” The young secretary looked up at me raising her eyebrows.

“U-uhm yeah, I’m Kendall Montgomery. I’m the new student and I was wondering if I could get my schedule?” I walked a little closer to her desk.

“Sure thing, here ya go. There is a map attached to the back on your schedule. I hope you enjoy your time here Ms. Montgomery.” She smiled and went back to her work.

I walked out of the office and to no surprise Asher was standing right there waiting for me. He draped his arm around my shoulder and snatched my schedule from my hand.

“Looks like you’re in luck. We’ve got every class together besides third and seventh.” I looked around the now deserted hallway.

“Well then can you lead the way to English?” I asked looking up at him with a smile plastered on my face.

I knew one thing and one thing for sure, I was not going to let my past get to me. Not here and not now and not ever.
