It was lunch time and everyone was sharing stories about our Thanksgiving weekend. I was pretty quiet though eating my mac and cheese. I still couldn't shake Kohl's curiosity about the confrontation with Cody and Jake out of my head. My butt vibrated snapping me out of my thoughts. Taking out my phone to see who text me.

Mom: Don't forget to invite your friends over for dinner tonight

Oh yea. The other day mom suggested to have my friends over so that her and dad can meet them.

"Hey are you guys doing anything tonight?" I asked. They all look at each other shaking their heads.

"Nope, what do you have in mind firecracker?" Paul said while shoving another spoonful of mac and cheese.

"My parents wanted to meet you guys. They're starting to believe I'm lying about having friends." I joke.

"Sure we'll go over to prove we're not imaginary." We chuckle at Paul's comment. No one noticing Jake feeling uneasy in his seat.

It was 5pm and everyone showed up to my house, besides Jake. I didn't question it though. After formal introductions we all sat around talking and laughing. Mom stepped out to get the cookies from the oven. Dad was talking to Paul and Kohl about sports. They seemed to be bonding very well.

"Hey Tif where;s Jake?" Sam asked when mom re-entered the room. Both mom and dad stopped their actions at the sound of his name.

"Who?" Mom said.

"My boyfriend, Jake. He got called into work." Tif addressed Sam.

"Stupid name." Dad grumbled.

"Dad!"

"I'm sorry honey but I hate that name because of that damn boy who hurt you."

"What are you talking about?" Kohl looked at my father.

"I know Ivy told you guys about what happened to her. The guy who hurt my little girl was named Jkae which is why we took her out of that god awful Middleton High School.

"Middleton? Isn't that where Jake transferred from?" Paul asked.

"Mom is there any more lemonade?" Trying to change the subject.

"Tiffany, sweetie, what is you boyfriend's last name?"

"Pierce. Jake Pierce." Tiffany said confused.

"What..." Dad growled. Oh shit. "That bastard is at your school? Did you know about this?" He looked at me. Shocked I just kept opening and closing my mouth. "Of course you knew!" He slammed his fist on the coffee table.

"Please stop screaming." I whimpered.

"That idiot is going to pay for what he did to you."

"Wait are you saying the guy who bullied you and put you into rehab is Jake Pierce. Our friend Jake Pierce?" Kohl looks at me. I see the smoke slowly coming out of ears like a cartoon.

"I can explain."

"He hurt you?! It was him. I'm going to kill him." That's when chaos broke lose. Everyone was yelling and throwing threats it was too much to handle. I felt like I couldn't breathe.

"Hey. Hey. HEY!!" I yelled grabbing everyone's attention. "Look the reason I didn't tell you mom and dad is because I knew you would just pull me out of the school. I'm better now I promise. I take my pills everyday and I am controlling myself. All I wanted was a bit of closure. I feel like if I didn't face him now the weight of what he did to me will always be on my shoulders. I'm sorry." Looking at the carpet ashamed.

"Oh honey..." Mom came to hug me as a lone tear slid down my cheek. "I think it's time for everyone to go home." Everyone mumbled their goodbyes and made their way out the door. After more talking with them to reassure them I really was okay I went to bed early that night.
