The tension was thick the next day at lunch. No one has spoken a word to each other and I haven't seen Jake at all today.
"Hey babe." Jake kissed Tiffany on the cheek. Well speak of the devil and he shall appear. Did Tiffany just flinch? She mumbled back a hi.
"Why didn't you answer my phone calls and text last night?" Kohl scoffed and dropped his fork.
"Hello? What's going on?"
"Why don't you tell us?" Paul insisted.
"Tell you what?"
"We know what you did to Ivy at your old school." Sam answered. I lowered my head to avoid his deep stare. Jake lets out a nervous laugh.

Paul rushes to pull Kohl away before he can do anymore damage while Jake howls in pain on the ground. Kohl started to fight against Paul's grip.
"Kohl. Kohl!" I yell getting his attention. "Take a walk with me. Come on." I grab his arm and start to gently pull him outside. We walked in silence to this big tree on a little hill behind the school. I sat down listening to Kohl's breathing until it slowed down back to normal.
"Are you okay?"
"I just can't believe he could do those things to someone so caring, smart, and beautiful." Kohl said while picking at the grass. I felt the heat rise up to my cheeks.
"Well I-"
"I love you." Kohl blurted out.
"What..."
