Clem's long lashes fluttered open as she gazed over at her phone that was buzzing its way off her bedside table. She stopped the annoying alarm by tapping the screen, and lifted up from her bed. It was now the last day of the week and she had gradually got closer to her new friends. She had all of their numbers, besides Louis' since she wasn't planning on starting an argument with his menacing girlfriend. She picked up her phone to see a message from 'Rat', it was her new nickname for Marlon since he had a mullet that looked like a dead rodent. She frowned as she saw the contact, it'd always be something about Louis and his toxic relationship. At this point Clementine didn't want to hear it, they'd all told him what he needed to do. But it's always easier said, than done.Rat- 'Tomorrow there's going to be a party happening. You up for it?'
Clementine rolled her eyes at the text; she wasn't really a 'party' person. She knew they'd only lead to alcohol and drugs. But she agreed to go, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Clem- 'Yeah I guess I'll go. Who else is going?'
Rat- 'Me, Brody, Lou, Mitch, Vi, Minnie and probably Sophie.'
Clem- "Okay. Kind of thought she'd turn up. But it's fine.'
Rat- 'Yeah, she likes to follow her boyfriend around. I don't think she can trust him to be honest. Even though she's a lot worse.'
Clem- 'Mm. Yeah. Anyway, I'll talk to you later.'
Rat- 'Okay, see yah!'
Clementine put her phone down and got dressed, brushed her hair and brushed her teeth before dashing down the stairs. Lee greeted her with sweet smelling pancakes. They were drizzled with chocolate sauce and there were also strawberry chunks laying on top. She gobbled up her food and dashed to the car, remembering to collect her phone. Clementine got into the car which her brother and Lee were sitting in. Lee had an ordinary grey Mercedes. He dropped AJ off to his school before dropping of Clementine. Today she was early, just so she could meet Violet and Brody to help them with their French homework. She hadn't quite finished it herself but the two hadn't even started.
"Hey Clem!" Shouted Brody as she waved her hand in the air, trying to get the girl's attention. Clem ran over to the girl; it was surprisingly easy since there weren't as many students around at this hour. "Okay, so I haven't done any of it." Violet chuckled as she waved her paper in front of the curly headed girl. "Don't worry I've done most of mine. It took me a while but I managed." She stated as she walked over to a table, it was in an open area for students to study. The girls sat around, bickering over which answer was right. "Bonjour, mon nom est Brody." Brody spoke as she attempted a French accent and failed miserably. "I think you actually got that correct." Clementine giggled as she nodded her head. "Of course I got it right... Wait... I did?" She asked as her eyes widened. "Well, we'll only be able to find out after we give it in." Violet shrugged.
Now homeroom was about to start, the two girls walked Clementine to her class, just so Sophie wouldn't try and start anything. As much as it should have helped, it didn't. As soon as they left, the girl tried her best to tease her. Clementine ignored her and waited for the time to pass. The main thing she was looking forward to today, was PE. She was known as the 'athlete' at her old school, and she wanted to live up to that name.
Finally, homeroom had finished and she then dashed over to her first lesson. She had food technology, even though she knew she wasn't good at cooking. But that's what learning's all about.
Many of the students had to share a kitchen with two others, some had to share with even more. But luckily for Clementine, her kitchen was one of the smallest and so she only had to share with one other. It was a boy who had dark skin and a short afro, he was well known in that class for his god-like skills. He constantly assisted Clementine during her time in the kitchen. He told her that his name was 'Chef Omar', and that he was named that from birth. He taught her a few tricks too. "Hey, how'd you make it taste like that?" She asked as she looked down at her stew that was sitting on the stove. "I can't tell you my secret, else it wouldn't be one, now would it? But I can help you." He spoke as he whisked up an unknown mixture and poured it into her stew. He'd even made it smell pleasant. "Wow, thanks." She spoke as she tasted the brown mixture, "That tastes really good! How'd you do tha-" But before she could finish, he tapped his nose and smiled.
