Chapter 2

    The sound of talking filled my mind, a man and a woman and that’s when I realized who was talking. My eyes shot open and I sat up

“Judith how are you? It’s been a while.” Aiolos said as he took a drink of his water

“Oh, Aiolos I’ve been good. You look just like your father and you have your mother’s eyes.” My mother laughed

Ok can anyone say awkward? I looked down to see a cover on top of me and a pillow below me. Then I looked at the time it was about to be seventh hour I looked at the two people in front of me engaged in conversation. My eyes narrowed at them, they didn’t seem to mind.

“So are you going to tell me how you know Aiolos?” I asked swinging my legs over the couched

She looked at me curiously “I didn’t tell you about him, I could have sworn I have told you about him.” She mumbled to herself then looked back at me “his parents use to go to the same collage as me, but then one day they came to the hospital turns out she was pregnant with this little rascal. We’ve kind of lost touch but when I saw Aiolos come into the house I recognized him.” She looked at Aiolos “how old are you now?”

“I’m sixteen now ma’am.” He grinned

“Oh dear, your only a year older than Aglaia.” She winked in my direction

Oh of course she wants me to go out with the guy that tackled me out of nowhere and might have cracked my ribs. I looked at him and narrowed my eyes, he looked back and didn’t give me the same expression it was the opposite. What is with this guy? I broke eye contact and looked at the kitchen and noticed how thirsty I was. I got up and walked over to the then stopped in my tracks, the teddy bear was sitting on the island, like right on it looking at me. It was way creepy because I remember putting it on my bed this morning before I left for school…so how was it here? My mom doesn’t go into my room because she says ‘it’s gloomy and dark.’  So why is my teddy bear here? Did that boy go into my room and put it down here for kicks? I was getting mad and I was getting mad fast.

I turned around and looked into the living room then my eyes caught his then I mouthed ‘come here.’ He told my mom that he’d be right back and walked over to me.

“Yes?”

“Did you do this for kicks?” I whispered angrily knowing my mom would be listening carefully

“Do what?” he questioned his eyebrow rising

I pointed to the teddy bear “that.”

“The teddy bear” he asked walking over to it looking at it then the card I quickly snatched it so he couldn’t read it. He looked at me again “what? I was just looking at it.”

“Ok this is getting weird.” I said barely audible, my anger dwindling and forming into confusion 

“What is?” he said as he took a step closer to me, I was between the island and him

“Nothing I uh I’ll be back.” I quickly walked around him and went upstairs to my room and put the bear into my closet and sighed “I don’t understand.” I turned around and sat on my bed. Ok if he didn’t put the bear there then who did? Nobody else could have there’s nobody here. Oh god our house is hunted if this is going to keep happening then I’m going to move out. I sighed and put my hands to my face, I really hope I’m just going crazy.

“Hey are you ok?” I jumped at Aiolos voice and looked over at him he was standing in the doorway just looking at me

“Yeah, I’m fine don’t worry about it.” I said as I got up
