Chapter 20

Lukas looked at the both of us "what did you think? That you were just going to be at your house learning this? You need teachers and your mom is not going to cut it." He said straightforwardly standing up straight "and Alexis what are you yelling about, she's going to be a student just like everyone else. The only person you have a problem with is her."

Alexis remained quiet Lukas waved him off then looked at me "we already have your dorm room ready you will have a roommate, your dorm is the first building in section b. Your room is on the second floor b4." He looked to Alexis "why don't you lead her out, you know these grounds better than most people."

He nodded then got up and walked to the door not really waiting for me to follow; I hurried to catch up with him. The hallways were very nice they held pictures of what I could only guess were successful bounty hunters and statues and on the floor was a long, long red carpet. Pretty classy for bounty hunters...we all know they don't make much money but it seems if you're in this business with these people then you 'll be living the life.

When we reached the front he opened the door and a cool breeze rushed in wrapping around my body like a blanket, goose bumps soon covered me. The air had the smell to it as if it had just finished raining, I quickly wrapped my arms around myself my teeth were chattering.

We walked in silence I didn't have anything to say to him so I observed the grounds, the pathways were lined with small hedges and had fountains or statues at the middle crossways. It was beautiful how the moon shined off of the water, beyond the pathways were sometimes clear yards others were like resting spots and studying areas. Then I noticed an area where it was just huge mats I wondered what it was for.

"Hey Alexis what's those mats for?" I asked as I tried to walk beside him but he only walked faster

"It's for hand to hand combat training." He said that then stayed quiet

After a while we came up to two huge buildings they looked really normal on the outside, they were side by side so I couldn't tell which one was first. Ugh could he have been a little bit more descriptive. Alexis started walking again after he looked at the buildings he went to the one on the left then stopped at the door.

"This is as far as I can go you should be able to find someone to help you find your room while you're in there." He looked at me for a while then walked off in a different direction

I opened the door and walked inside I could smell hot chocolate from the door, the dorm was warm. I started to walk around looking for someone to help me find my room, this dorm was kind of decorated the same as the main building only it didn't have giant statues that we might possibly break, only miniature ones that sat on tables alone while other tables had lovely bouquets. I finally came across a room that had a woman sitting there legs under her a blanket draped over her reading a book in front of a fire. I didn't want to interrupt her but I needed to know where my room was.

"Um excuse me." I said to her but she didn't look up from her book she was engulfed in it so I tried again but a little louder "excuse me miss." This time she did look up from her book

"Who are you?" she didn't say it in a mean way she was just curious

"I'm Aglaia, I was wondering if you could help me find my room. I'm new." I smiled shyly

She looked at me then put her bookmark in the book and closed it "yea I'll help you find your room what is your room number?" she walked over to me

"Uh b4" I looked at her, she was very pretty she had blue eyes and black hair her skin tone was fairly close to mine

"That's right next to me." she smiled and led me to the stairs we walked up them quietly "So who brought you here? I know you didn't find it on your own, it takes time to get use to the grounds."
