Chapter 9

After he said that I think I totally lost it my hands went to my head as a huge headache came to me. The IV moved and I winced as it moved, Aiolos and Chris looked at me again with a confused expression. I couldn't hear what the red eyed guy was saying because my head hurt it was starting to become fogged as I tried to concentrate on what he was saying. It felt like mumbling and I wasn't getting anything out of it.

What would he do if I didn't get his directions? Would he kill me? My heart rate increased rapidly I was panicking and I didn't know how to calm myself my eyes began to get teary at the thought of being killed. I've only just stopped crying just to start again; I'm not going to get out of this. He's going to kill me and that'll be it I'll be dead, negative thoughts filled my head as I cried harder. Aiolos and Chris were trying to calm me but nothing worked, then my mom, Kelly and a doctor rushed into the room shooing Aiolos and Chris out. I shuddered and looked over to the window; it was him he was standing there watching me with a smile on his face.

That was enough to throw me off, I couldn't breathe again and I panicked even farther and black out once again but this time I wasn't in a sea of blackness it was more like a dream. I was lying on a radiant field of grass looking up at the clouds; there was a bunny, a flower then unexpectedly the clouds changed they grew dark and sinister while the sky grew red. The once radiant field turned and transformed into a field of dead grass and dead animals, I got off the ground quick and brushed of my clothes. My silver eyes looked all around me; I was alone, in a field of dead animals and grass.

Then I felt something wet hit my shoulder, I looked over to see what it was. It was red, was it blood? Well it couldn't be Kool-Aid my inner voice said then it started raining blood the smell of it was sickening. I looked around for some place to go so that I could get out of this blood rain, there was a small cottage in the far distance. I started to run for it but I was running slowly for some reason so I tried to pick up the paste nothing happened. Bones crushed beneath my feet as I ran the cottage didn't seem to get any closer. The hairs on my neck lifted as a very dark shadow passed over me, it was huge.

I looked up to see what it was, it was a raven. A raven that looked like it took some steroids and nuclear waste, when it looked at me its eyes was black as the raven's feathers. Then it swooped down at me opened its beak and nipped me at my already bloodied arm, the wound was big but I suppressed a scream. Blood quickly ran down my arm the raven looked at me and its eyes gleamed. It swooped again but this time I dodged and kept running this time it was faster. The bird dove and got ahold of my hair I screamed as it lifted me, I thought of that cottage and then I was teleported there. I took a deep gasp; I think I'll never get used to it. I was right outside of the cottage when I tried to open the door it was locked the windows weren't open.

I heard the raven squawk, and then I looked behind me as I held my injured arm it was gaining on me. I turned around and took several steps back and ran and jumped through the window. The glass from the window broke and cut a line down my stomach little pieces of glass were in my legs. I'll never do this again! It may look cool in a movie but it hurts like a motherfucker! That stunt double lied to me...

I looked at my surroundings it was a plain place it had a fireplace, a bed, chair, closet and an upstairs but I just walked to the bed and sat there I didn't know what to do about my wounds I would tend to them but I have nothing to do that with... I heard a rustle coming from upstairs

Stay here...Stay here...Stay here.

It got louder and the curiosity got the better of me I walk slowly to the stairs grimacing at each step, I walked up the stairs cautiously then I peeked my head in the room. There was a person sitting in a rocking chair, just rocking

"Welcome to my cottage darling." His voice was familiar he stood up and walked to me

"Sorry but I kind of broken your window." I said shyly

"Oh that's fine, had to get away from that raven some way right?"

I nodded, he knew about it?

"How about we address those wound." He smiled as I felt a little dizzy

"Yeah sure" My vision was getting blurry

He hurried downstairs and came back with a first aid kit, he told me I had to take of my shirt so he could take care off my stomach, and he told me nothing would happen. I wasn't convinced so then he told me just raise my shirt so he could see it, I did and he treated it and after that a shock went through my whole body and I fell to the ground and groaned then another shock and another. My body felt numb and the man just looked at me

"Are you ok darling?" Then it clicked who he was I scrambled to my feet and another shock fell upon me and I fell down the stairs, my wounds opened and they bled. I looked up and saw two versions of the red eyed man, the older version and the younger. I crawled to the younger one I would any day he wouldn't kill me unlike the older version, I don't even know what I did it him.

Another shock pulsed through me and I was back in the hospital my eyes opened quickly and I took a hug intake of breathe, I looked around my mom and Kelly were crying again Aiolos was sitting beside me with him hands in mine Chris was beside him with his hands on Aiolos shoulders in a supporting way. All of their heads were down.

"She's alive, everybody she's alive." The doctor said

Everybody looked up at me tears of joy streaming down their cheeks; they must have thought I died. Shit I almost did I'm glad they brought me back, I looked at my arm to see it wasn't bleeding and there wasn't a big wound there. I looked to my stomach and there wasn't a long cut going down it. I sighed happily then looked at the people in the room once more.

"So I almost died...again." They all nodded "what was the cause?" I looked to the doctor

"A major panic attack it was caused by stress accompanied by a lot of distress." She looked to me "you were screaming while in your unconscious state. I don't know how but you were."

My mom looked at me then walked up to me "what are you so fearful of? Whatever it is you can tell me." Her sad eyes were filled with sorrow and concern

"I don't think it's best to talk to her right now. She needs her rest you can talk to her in the morning." The doctor's gentle voice filled the room

"She's my daughter she almost died twice today!" my mom looked at the doctor with rage filled eye's I could see that she didn't want to part with me "what if it was your daughter."

"Mrs. Goldstein I understand how you are feeling right now but you must let her rest this could get worse if she doesn't." she looked at my mom with a look on her face that I couldn't describe

"Fine, I understand. I'll go but take good care of her and I'll be back later on when I'm done with my rounds." I was shocked that she gave up so quickly well the doctor was her superior so she had to step down. She left the room there was a silence until the doctor spoke again

"You kids should be leaving now too."

They all nodded their heads said their goodbyes and left. The doctor left then a nurse came and gave me a shot and some pain pills and a small cup of water, after I took them I started to get sleepy so I pulled up the covers closed my eyes and went to sleep

Goodnight my little lamb.

My eyes shot open, he snickered as the thought left me
