Chapter 25

Chapter 25          

  Weeks have passed by since that day in the bathroom; I’ve become much stronger with the help of my friends, I still don’t know all the creatures but people tell me I know enough. Nothing has really been happening in school, Savannah hasn’t been to school since the day I was introduced to the academy. I haven’t seen Devin around either but I’m starting to forget about him, he’s nothing to me anymore. Today I’m going to go on my first mission, it’s a solo mission I’m a little worried that I might not be able to do it on my own but everybody’s giving me a boost by being really supportive.

  My mentor- Vanessa tells me where the monsters is located, so I quickly get dressed in my camouflage outfit and put my hair in a pointy tail and put on my combat boots then pack up my guns, blades and other weapons. Going somewhere you’ve never been to assassinate something that you’ve never been told about causes you to be extra careful and extra prepared.

I walked to the door when Ashley and Skylar stopped me “good luck Aglaia, knock them dead.” they pulled me into a hug

They took a step back and grinned “you look like a major badass too.” Skylar said and Ashley nodded   

I laughed “yeah thanks I was going for that look.” I smirked then made a serious look “but I must go, wish me luck.” I walked out the door and down the stairs to meet Vanessa outside of the dorm

“Hello Aglaia, are you ready?” she smiled and walked away from the dorm

I nodded as I walked with her “As ready as I’ll ever be but I’m sort of nervous.” I said shyly

She stopped and but her hands on my shoulders “you’re going to be fine, on my first mission I thought I wasn’t good enough but turns out that I was and I turned it in. You have a lot of power within you, I’ve noticed it but you need to remember that you can do this. Just think about how good it’s going to be to capture one.” She smiled in reassurance

I smiled back “alright, is there anything else?”

She nodded “yea this is where you’re going to be, the beast should be somewhere around there.” She gave me a picture of what looked like an alleyway “you’re going to need this to find the creature, its color will be green while humans are blue, and you will be red.” She handed me a monitor “that’s all good luck Aglaia.” she took a step back

“Ok thanks.” I looked at the picture and focused on being there right now, in a second I was there in the ally, it was dark and the moon was out I looked down at the monitor ready to get this over with

On the monitor I was my dot and close by humans but no creatures. I started walking silently down the alley until I hit a dead-end I looked back at the monitor as I put the picture back in my pocket, the monitor was pretty detailed it had the dead-end that I was in and the surfaces of the buildings I was by. Then I heard an animalist sound and saw a giant green dot on top of the building I was next to.

I looked up to see a creature I didn’t recognize. I quickly started to climb up the side of the building with my hands and feet and as my hand reached the edge of the roof I pulled myself up and landed on the roof. The creature was not a creature but some guy, I looked at my monitor again trying to see if it was wrong but there was a green dot pulsing right in front of my dot. It must be a creature but what was it?

The guy growled at me then horns came out of its head and his fingernails turned into razor sharp claws and his eyes went black he made a cry and ran at me I quickly dodged him and pulled out my gun and shot at him he almost fell of the roof then did a back flip and landed about three feet away from me…show off
