chapter 8

Chapter 8                                                        

 We walking into the restaurant and I noticed it was very fancy, not one I would usually go to. It had chandeliers and live entertainment. The Hostess lead us to our table and told us to have a great meal, I looked over to the kidnapper.

“So what’s your name?” I asked as he looked at the menu.

“Oh I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself before, I’m Chris it’s nice to meet you.”

“Aglaia, it’s nice to meet you as well.” We shook hands then the waitress came after so I looked at my menu. Everything looked so good, I quietly listened to what Chris was ordering, a steak and potatoes with a sprite. Kind of light for a guy but I mentally shrugged then the waitress turned to me

 “What would you like?” she smiled

“Oh I would like that same thank you.” I smiled and gave her the menu then she left then looked to the stage, there was a guy and girl on the stage with guitars they were singing this song that was so familiar to me but I couldn’t remember it.

“Tell me something about yourself.” Chris said as I looked to him. He was smiling

“um.” Shoot! What should I say! “I run track, I go to south school of the jets. I can’t really think of anything to say.” I confessed as I smiled shyly

“That’s interesting I go to the same school, and so does my little brother.” He grinned

“You do? I haven’t seen you around.” This feels like déjà vu

“Yes I do but you might know my little brother, Aiolos.”

My eyes went wide and that’s when I looked at him I mean I really looked at him. He looked just like Aiolos other than the fact that he had a broader chest and black hair “I’m surprised I didn’t notice this sooner you two could be twins.”

“That’s what everybody says; but I’m a month and a half older than him.” He smirked

“Wow, but yes I know him we’re actually friends.”

“I’ve heard.” He looked into my eyes

“Oh please tell me you don’t believe he’s going out with me.”

“I don’t.”

There was a silence after that, our food came and he started to eat. It was so good I couldn’t even describe it if I wanted to, we talked a litter more I was laughing at his jokes and stuff then we walked out of the restaurant. I turned around facing him my back to the street, it was even darker outside. Only the restaurants neon lights, the street lights and the car lights made it to where we could see.

I was going to thank him for the meal and tell him to have a safe drive home when those red eyes appeared in my mind again. I was backpedaling into the street all the sudden car were honking my name was being yelled. I cried out in pain and everything went black, I wake up in a white room that smelled of new paint and an annoying beeping sound.

I looked around and figured I was in the hospital the heart monitor was beeping slow and steady. I looked at me position; I was in a white hospital gown with blue polka-dots an IV going into my wrist. There were white covers onto me; my skin looked a little pale but I knew I was going to get better.

The door to my room clicked open; I looked over to the door it was my mom, Aiolos, Chris and Kelly. They were all looking at me, my mom had tears in her eyes so did Kelly. Aiolos and Chris their faces were solemn. Next thing I know Kelly and mom are rushing to my bed.

“Aglaia, I’m so glad you’re awake. I was scared for the longest time.” My mom said she was crying again and her voice cracked

“Mom…what happened?” I looked at her

“You got hit by a car sweetie, Chris said that he called the paramedics and Kelly and Aiolos rushed to come and see you.” She took my hand

I looked up at them dazed they looked back at me with grave looks on their faces, somewhat like they were sad to see me in this position.

“Is there anything you want Aglaia?” Kelly asked

I looked at her “yeah Kelly could you get me a bottle of water and an apple?” I smiled

She smiled back at me “yeah sure.” She left

My mom looked down at her pager and looked back up at me “listen I have to go take care of another patient I’ll be back ok?”

I nodded my head slowly then she was out the door, next thing I knew Chris and Aiolos were setting beside me.

“Aglaia can you tell me what happen, I told Chris this has happened before I know that something’s wrong but you’re not telling me what.” Aiolos said he took my hand

I shook my head “nothing’s wrong.”

“You’ve almost died two times in the same day I think something’s wrong, so tell me.” He said softly

I wanted to tell him, I really did but could I? I mean he may be a blue blood but I don’t think having a crazy psycho trying to kill you was in the description.

“There’s this guy that’s trying to kill me.” I blurted before I even knew that I said it

“Trying to kill you?” Chris said

Well the secrets out now, good going Aglaia “yeah, he tried to kill me when I was on my way to the parking lot earlier, I’m not sure how but somehow his eyes penetrate my mind and it either shuts down or makes me panic. In the parking lot h-he was there, just one look at him and m-my lungs close up next thing I know he disappeared and I’m almost dead. And at the restaurant he wasn’t there but his eyes appeared and I panicked and then I was in the street.” I was shaking uncontrollably and I had tears falling from my eyes

“Is this the only times he’s appeared?”

I shook my head “h-he came to my house right after this thing was choking me it must have been invisible. But this guy I don’t know who he is or what he looks like but he saved me then walked right out of my house leaving the door wide open. That’s when he came and locked the door, his red eyes made me weak. At first he was just being weird; he kept calling me his little lamb. And he called himself a wolf, when I snapped at him I must have gotten him angry because he pinned me to the wall. Then I really made him mad when I kicked him, he told m-me he would kill me after I ran upstairs and locked the door.”

“Then what happened?” Aiolos looked like he was thinking

“T-then I got my bat and I hid in the corner of my room my door was locked but then I had this weird memory about the two of us when we were kids-“

His red eyes appeared in my mind again. My heart was racing. Tell them anymore and I’ll kill you right here right now…

“Aglaia what’s wrong.” Aiolos looked at me

I shook my head then cried harder “I c-can’t, he’ll kill me.”

They looked at me sadly “he can enter your thoughts?” Chris said

I didn’t say anything I just laid my head back on the pillow and stared past them, my breathing got heavy and my heart was pounding again. He was staring right at me with those piercing red eyes of his; I had to do something I didn’t want to die.

You don’t have to die my little lamb, if only you do as I say…
