Let it go ~Book One~

chapter 24

 Chapter 24            

I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat my breathing was reckless as the thunder roared above me, I quickly got out of my bed while the lightning flashed in the room, making everything go from pitch black to a lit room with a seconds. I walked over to my bathroom and turned the light on while closing the door, when I looked at myself in the mirror I was paler than a ghost my eyes were glassy I looked as if I’ve been crying. But I wasn’t.

I turn the sink on and cup the water as it falls out and washed my face with its cool liquid, when I dried my face and looked at myself once again I didn’t look any different. I walked to the shower and started it…maybe that would help. I started to get a feeling in the pit of my stomach but I didn’t know what it was.

I hopped into the shower and just stood there as the water lightly fell on me, I did a lot of nothing in the shower then I decided to wash-up. After I was done I walked out of the shower and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around myself. And started to walk to the door when the room suddenly started shaking violently, the lights turned on and off as I wobbled trying to grab hold of something so I could steady myself.

The lights turned off and the shaking was at a standstill I looked all around me then something drew me to look at the toilet, the lid was up and the water was bubbling then something black started coming out of it. Oh my freaking God was all I could think as I stared at the figure that was coming of the toilet. The figure was what looking a person but they were completely black, then I figured out that they were covered in some sort of material from head to toe in. When it got out the toilet it screeched, I’ve never read anything like in the books. So it must have been something undiscovered till now. I didn’t have a gun or anything to use as a weapon in the bathroom.

I was really scared just a little freaked out that it came out of my toilet and was walking towards me, it was soaked with toilet water. Then it faded into black matching the light in the room and looked like it was running, but it reappeared closer and closer until the thing was right by me that’s when I got scared and screamed bloody murder and the thing screamed back but in a high pitched sound that was deafening.

I quickly covered my ears then I heard the bathroom door open as a person with hair dyed to look like real flames walked into the room closing the door, she looked like somebody that could do damage she had a gun at her side a gruesome blade in the other and something contained in a sheath strapped to her back. She had a sucker in her mouth; she sighed then rolled her eyes as the thing screeched at her. I ran to a corner as she took out her gun and pointed it to the thing, she shot it right between the eyes but I didn’t go down. I gasped as it screeched in pain then it looked back to me and was coming after me and it was coming fast, I looked to the flame headed girl she looked at me…her eyes ablaze.

She then pulled out her gruesome blade and charged at the monster slicing it down the back; it screeched again and shoved her away. She ended up on the other side of the bathroom, it was a long distance and I was sure the monster was going to get me if I didn’t do something. But what could I do I was in a state of panic, I haven’t been trained I’ve only read the books and watched the video’s on these creatures, but nothing on combat.

The monster got closer to me then the flame headed girl was up again but this time she unsheathed what was in it…a sword, the sword had carvings of flames and words I couldn’t read in the dark. The flame headed girl pressed two fingers to the butt of the blade, where the handle was, and slid them across the blade to the tip but while her fingers slid across the blade the flames seemed to come to life as a bright red light glowed from them.

Then she charged running like there was no tomorrow then leaped in the air and with a warriors cry she sliced the monster from its head to its midsection then the blade whistled while she sliced the air and put it back in its sheath. The monster let out a final screech before it silenced and slid in half falling to the floor like a domino.
